Abstract
An article of footwear may include a motorized tensioning system including a tensile member and a motorized tightening device attached to an outer surface of the article of footwear, the tightening device configured to apply tension in the tensile member to adjust the size of an internal void defined by the article of footwear. The article of footwear may also include a tightening device cover configured to be removably attached to the article of footwear over the tightening device.

2 . An article of footwear customization kit, comprising:
a first cover, configured to be attached to the article of footwear, the first cover comprising a first colored facet and a second colored facet, each configured to be visible exterior to the article of footwear; and a second cover configured to be attached adjacent a heel portion of the article of footwear; wherein the second cover is configured to cover a power source configured to provide power to the light emitting device when the adjustable heel unit is operatively coupled to the lighting unit; and wherein the second cover is configured to be movable relative to the article of footwear.
3 . The article of footwear customization kit of claim 2 , wherein the second cover further covers a motor, operatively coupled to the power source, configured to upper relative to the second cover.
4 . The article of footwear customization kit of claim 2 , wherein at least some of the outsole platform, the first cover, and the second cover are configured to be physically attached to one another other with a removable attachment mechanisms.
5 . The article of footwear customization kit of claim 2 , wherein the first cover is configurable to provide customized decoration by a user of the article of footwear customization kit.
6 . The article of footwear customization kit of claim 2 , wherein the first colored facet and the second colored facet create a concave inner surface of the first cover.
7 . The article of footwear customization kit of claim 6 , wherein the concave inner surface is configured to cover a device of the article of footwear when the first cover is attached to the article of footwear.
8 . The article of footwear customization kit of claim 2 , wherein edges of the first cover are configured to mate with a contoured portion of on outer surface of the article of footwear.
9 . A method of making an article of footwear customization kit, comprising:
configuring a first cover to be attached to the article of footwear, the first cover comprising a first colored facet and a second colored facet, each configured to be visible exterior to the article of footwear; and configuring a second cover to be attached adjacent a heel portion of the article of footwear; wherein the second cover is configured to cover a power source configured to provide power to the light emitting device when the adjustable heel unit is operatively coupled to the lighting unit; and wherein the second cover is configured to be movable relative to the article of footwear.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the second cover further covers a motor, operatively coupled to the power source, configured to upper relative to the second cover.
11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein at least some of the outsole platform, the first cover, and the second cover are configured to be physically attached to one another other with a removable attachment mechanisms.

an upper having an outer surface; a first cover, configured to be removably attached to the outer surface of the upper, the first cover comprising a first colored facet and a second colored facet, each configured to be visible exterior to the article of footwear; and a second cover configured to be attached to the outer surface adjacent a heel portion of the article of footwear; wherein the second cover is configured to cover a power source configured to provide power to the light emitting device when the adjustable heel unit is operatively coupled to the lighting unit; and wherein the second cover is configured to be movable relative to the article of footwear.
17 . The article of footwear of claim 16 , wherein the second cover further covers a motor, operatively coupled to the power source, configured to upper relative to the second cover.
