Abstract
A method of control for an aerosol delivery device can include measuring airflow during a plurality of inhalations of a user of the aerosol delivery device; and modelling one or more inhalation airflow profiles of the user based upon the measurements.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of control for an aerosol delivery device, the method comprising:
measuring airflow during a plurality of inhalations of a user of the aerosol delivery device; and modelling one or more inhalation airflow profiles of the user based upon the measurements.
2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein each inhalation airflow profile describes at least one of a velocity or amount of air inhaled through the aerosol delivery device over the course of a puff by the user.
3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein each inhalation airflow profile defines a target shape of an inhalation as a time history or a curve.
4 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein each inhalation airflow profile defines a peak airflow for the inhalation profile.
5 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein each inhalation airflow profile defines a duration for the inhalation profile.
6 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein each inhalation airflow profile defines a timing for a peak within the inhalation.
7 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein each inhalation airflow profile defines a timing at which an airflow drops below a threshold level.
8 . The method according to claim 1 , further comprising downloading at least one of the inhalation airflow profiles using an interface on a mobile phone which is in wireless communication with the aerosol delivery device.
9 . The method according to claim 8 , further comprising curating the at least one of the inhalation airflow profiles using the interface on the mobile phone.
10 . A method of control for an aerosol delivery device, the method comprising:
comparing airflow measurements from a user of an aerosol delivery device to one or more modelled inhalation airflow profiles; and one of:
matching the airflow measurements to a modelled inhalation airflow profile if the airflow measurements match the modelled inhalation airflow profile to within a predetermined tolerance; or
using a default behavior if the airflow measurements are outside the predetermined tolerance for each of the one or more modelled inhalation airflow profiles.
11 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein comparing the airflow measurements from the user of the aerosol delivery device to the one or more modelled inhalation airflow profiles comprises comparing the airflow measurements as an inhalation progresses.
12 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein inhalation is detected using an airflow detector.
13 . An aerosol delivery system, comprising:
the aerosol delivery device; and a control processor configured to perform the method according to claim 1 .
14 . An aerosol delivery system, comprising:
the aerosol delivery device; and a control processor configured to perform the method according to claim 10 .Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
