Abstract
The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods for enhanced angle-based positioning calculations.

1 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media having instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause a user equipment (UE) to:
perform a reference signal receive power (RSRP) measurement based on a first-detected path of a positioning reference signal (PRS); and transmit a report to a location management function (LMF) based on the RSRP measurement, the report to include the RSRP measurement and an indication that the RSRP measurement was based on the first-detected path of the PRS.
2 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 1 , wherein the first-detected path is associated with a line of sight (LoS) path.
3 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 1 , wherein the first-detected path is based on a channel response.
4 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 1 , wherein the RSRP measurement is a first RSRP measurement, and the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the UE to:
perform a plurality of RSRP measurements of the PRS; and include, in the report to the LMF, the plurality of RSRP measurements.
5 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 1 , having instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause a user equipment (UE) to:
receive, from a location management function (LMF), a message including assistance data, the assistance data including an indication to measure a downlink (DL) reference signal time difference (RSTD).
6 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 5 , having instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause a user equipment (UE) to:
perform a DL-RSTD measurement based on the message.
7 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 1 , having instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause a user equipment (UE) to:
measure a power of the first-detected path; and include, in the report, an indication of a relative power of the power of the first-detected path to the RSRP.
8 . A method for operating a base station, the method comprising:
performing a reference signal receive power (RSRP) measurement based on a first-detected path of an uplink (UL) sounding reference signal (SRS); and transmitting a report to a network node based on the RSRP measurement, the report to include the RSRP measurement and an indication that the RSRP measurement was based on a first-detected path of the UL-SRS.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the first-detected path is associated with a line of sight (LoS) path.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the first-detected path is based on a channel response.
11 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
measuring a power of the first-detected path; and including, in the report, an indication of a relative power of the power of the first-detected path to the RSRP.
12 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
receiving, from a location management function (LMF), a message including assistance data, the assistance data including an indication to measure an uplink (UL) relative time of arrival (RTOA).
13 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising:
performing a UL-RTOA measurement based on the message.
14 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media having instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause a location management function (LMF) to:
receive, from an entity, a location services request; and receive, from a user equipment (UE) or a base station (BS), a measurement report including reference single receive power (RSRP) measurements and an indication that the RSRP measurement were based on a first-detected path.
15 . The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media of claim 14 , wherein the measurement report includes a location of the UE.
16 . The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media of claim 14 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the LMF to:
send, to the UE or the BS, assistance data, wherein the RSRP measurement are based on the assistance data.
17 . The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media of claim 14 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the LMF to:
send, to the UE, assistance data including an indication configuring the UE to measure a downlink (DL) reference signal time difference (RSTD).
18 . The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media of claim 14 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the LMF to:
send, to the BS, assistance data including an indication configuring the BS to measure an uplink (UL) relative time of arrival (RTOA).
19 . The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media of claim 14 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the LMF to:
perform, based on the measurement report, a calculation to obtain location information of the UE.
