Garden and landscape tools

Abstract

Garden tools are provided to enable easier gardening with increased gardening and landscaping functionality. The garden tools allow the passing of material through the tool to enable improved landscaping. Certain garden tools include gratings to sift material. Certain garden tools allow material to pass through to allow easier performance of the desired gardening or landscaping function.

         2 . A rake comprising:
 a rake head including a rectangular grating connected to a base portion at a first long side of the rectangular grating; and   a portion to connect the rake head to a handle;   wherein the grating extending from the rake head, the grating having openings to allow material smaller than one of the openings to pass through the grating while catching material larger than one of the openings.   
     
     
         3 . The rake of  claim 2 , wherein the grating has openings with an internal diameter of approximately 1.5 inches. 
     
     
         4 . The rake of  claim 2 , wherein the grating has openings with an internal diameter of approximately 1 inch. 
     
     
         5 . The rake of  claim 2 , wherein the grating has openings with an internal diameter of approximately 0.5 inches. 
     
     
         6 . The rake of  claim 2 , wherein the grating is composed of metal in a range of 20 gauge up to 10 gauge. 
     
     
         7 . The rake of  claim 2 , wherein the grating connected to the base portion comprises the grating welded to a metal bar. 
     
     
         8 . The rake of  claim 2 , wherein the grating comprises a two-dimensional piece of metal. 
     
     
         9 . The rake of  claim 2 , wherein the grating comprises a piece of expanded metal. 
     
     
         10 . The rake of  claim 9 , wherein the grating comprises a piece of sheet metal stamped in an x-y plane and pulled in a z-plane. 
     
     
         11 . The rake of  claim 9 , wherein the grating comprises an expanded piece of metal with diamond-shaped openings. 
     
     
         12 . The rake of  claim 10 , wherein the grating further comprises closed tips at a second long side of the rectangular grating. 
     
     
         13 . The rake of  claim 10 , wherein the grating further comprises open tips at a second long side of the rectangular grating. 
     
     
         14 . The rake of  claim 2 , wherein the grating is connected to the base portion to create an angle of approximately 140 to 145 degrees between the grating and the handle.
