Method and Device in a Radio Network
Abstract
The invention refers to a method for a communication device in a radio network, which comprises a step of performing a first transmitting, in a first time slot of a first duration, comprising transmitting a Buffer Status Report, BSR, for a plurality of logical channels, and a step of performing a second transmitting, in a second time slot of a second duration, comprising transmitting a Scheduling Request, SR, for at least a first part of the plurality of logical channels; the invention further refers to corresponding communication devices, to a computer-readable storage, to a computer program and to a carrier.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method implemented by a communication device in a radio network, comprising:
transmitting, in a first time slot associated with a first time slot configuration with a first time slot duration, a Buffer Status Report (BSR) for a plurality of logical channels including a first logical channel associated with the first time slot configuration and a second logical channel associated with a second time slot configuration with a second time slot duration, wherein the second time slot duration is shorter than the first time slot duration; and transmitting, prior to the end of the first time slot, a Scheduling Request (SR) for the second logical channel.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the BSR is transmitted in a first portion of a frequency band; and the SR is transmitted in a second portion of the frequency band.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second logical channel has a higher priority than at least one other logical channel of the plurality of logical channels.
4 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising transmitting a buffer size of a payload for the second logical channel in the BSR together with payload data for the first logical channel in the first time slot.
5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising:
starting a timer after transmitting the SR in the second time slot; and refraining from sending a BSR or SR for the second logical channel while the timer is running.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving an uplink grant; and sending a payload of the second logical channel in a second portion of the frequency band in one or more time slots having the second duration.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the uplink grant is indicative of a PUSCH transmission resource.
8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, in one or more additional time slots of the second duration, one or more SRs for one or more logical channels in the plurality of logical channels.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising setting a timer of a duration during which further sending of a BSR or a SR for the one or more logical channels is prohibited after the second transmitting has finished.
10 . The method of claim 1 wherein the communication device operates in time slots of the first duration in a first portion of a band and also operates in time slots of the second duration in a second portion of the band.
11 . A communication device in a radio network, the communication device comprising:
a network interface for communicating with a radio network node in the radio network; processing circuitry configured to:
transmit, in a first time slot associated with a first time slot configuration with a first time slot duration, a Buffer Status Report (BSR) for a plurality of logical channels including a first logical channel associated with the first time slot configuration and a second logical channel associated with a second time slot configuration with a second time slot duration, wherein the second time slot duration is shorter than the first time slot duration; and
transmit, prior to the end of the first time slot, a Scheduling Request (SR) for the second logical channel.
12 . The device of claim 11 , wherein:
the BSR is transmitted in a first portion of a frequency band; and the SR is transmitted in a second portion of the frequency band.
13 . The device of claim 11 , wherein the second logical channel has a higher priority than at least one other logical channel of the plurality of logical channels.
14 . The device of claim 13 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to transmit a buffer size of a payload for the second logical channel in the BSR together with payload data for the second logical channel in the first time slot.
15 . The device of claim 14 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to:
start a timer after transmitting the SR in the second time slot; and refrain from sending a BSR or SR for the second logical channel while the timer is running.
16 . The device of claim 11 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to:
receive an uplink grant; and send a payload of the second logical channel in a second portion of the frequency band in one or more time slots having the second duration.
17 . The device of claim 16 , wherein the uplink grant is indicative of a PUSCH transmission resource.
18 . The device of claim 11 , further comprising transmitting, in one or more additional time slots of the second duration, one or more SRs for one or more logical channels in the plurality of logical channels.
19 . The device of claim 18 , further comprising setting a timer of a duration during which further sending of a BSR or a SR for the one or more logical channels is prohibited after the second transmitting has finished.
20 . The device of claim 11 wherein the communication device operates in time slots of the first duration in a first portion of a band and also operates in time slots of the second duration in a second portion of the band.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
