Portable electronic device for photo management
Abstract
A portable electronic device with a touch screen display for photo management is disclosed. One aspect of the invention involves a computer-implemented method in which the portable electronic device displays an array of thumbnail images corresponding to a set of photographic images. The device replaces the displayed array of thumbnail images with a user-selected photographic image upon detecting a user contact with a corresponding thumbnail image in the array. The user-selected photographic image is displayed at a larger scale than the corresponding thumbnail image. The portable device displays a different photographic image in replacement of the user-selected photographic image in accordance with a scrolling gesture. The scrolling gesture comprises a substantially horizontal movement of user contact with the touch screen display.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
2 . An electronic device, comprising:
a display; one or more processors; and memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:
displaying, via the display, a first image;
while displaying the first image, detecting a first gesture; and
in response to detecting the first gesture:
in accordance with a determination that the first gesture includes a tap gesture, magnifying the first image; and
in accordance with a determination that the first gesture includes a swipe gesture, displaying a different image in replacement of the first image.
3 . The electronic device of claim 2 , wherein magnifying the first image includes magnifying the first image by a predetermined amount.
4 . The electronic device of claim 2 , wherein:
in accordance with a determination that the swipe gesture is in a first direction, the different image corresponds to a second image different from the first image; and in accordance with a determination that the swipe gesture is in a different direction from the first direction, the different image corresponds to a third image different from the first image and the second image.
5 . The electronic device of claim 2 , wherein the swipe gesture is substantially horizontal.
6 . The electronic device of claim 2 , the one or more programs further including instructions for:
in response to detecting the first gesture:
in accordance with a determination that the first gesture includes a multi-finger rotate gesture, rotating the first image.
7 . The electronic device of claim 2 , the one or more programs further including instructions for:
while displaying the first image, detecting a second gesture; and in response to detecting the second gesture, displaying, via the display, an interface that includes an array of thumbnail images, wherein the array of thumbnail images includes a first thumbnail image corresponding to the first image.
8 . The electronic device of claim 7 , wherein displaying the first image includes displaying an icon that when activated initiates transfer to the interface that includes the array of thumbnail images, and wherein the second gesture includes an input corresponding to the icon.
9 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs configured to be executed by one or more processors of an electronic device with a display, the one or more programs including instructions for:
displaying, via the display, a first image; while displaying the first image, detecting a first gesture; and in response to detecting the first gesture:
in accordance with a determination that the first gesture includes a tap gesture, magnifying the first image; and
in accordance with a determination that the first gesture includes a swipe gesture, displaying a different image in replacement of the first image.
10 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein magnifying the first image includes magnifying the first image by a predetermined amount.
11 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein:
in accordance with a determination that the swipe gesture is in a first direction, the different image corresponds to a second image different from the first image; and in accordance with a determination that the swipe gesture is in a different direction from the first direction, the different image corresponds to a third image different from the first image and the second image.
12 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the swipe gesture is substantially horizontal.
13 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , the one or more programs further including instructions for:
in response to detecting the first gesture:
in accordance with a determination that the first gesture includes a multi-finger rotate gesture, rotating the first image.
14 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , the one or more programs further including instructions for:
while displaying the first image, detecting a second gesture; and in response to detecting the second gesture, displaying, via the display, an interface that includes an array of thumbnail images, wherein the array of thumbnail images includes a first thumbnail image corresponding to the first image.
15 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein displaying the first image includes displaying an icon that when activated initiates transfer to the interface that includes the array of thumbnail images, and wherein the second gesture includes an input corresponding to the icon.
16 . A computer implemented method, comprising:
at an electronic device with a display:
displaying, via the display, a first image;
while displaying the first image, detecting a first gesture; and
in response to detecting the first gesture:
in accordance with a determination that the first gesture includes a tap gesture, magnifying the first image; and
in accordance with a determination that the first gesture includes a swipe gesture, displaying a different image in replacement of the first image.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein magnifying the first image includes magnifying the first image by a predetermined amount.
18 . The method of claim 16 , wherein:
in accordance with a determination that the swipe gesture is in a first direction, the different image corresponds to a second image different from the first image; and in accordance with a determination that the swipe gesture is in a different direction from the first direction, the different image corresponds to a third image different from the first image and the second image.
19 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the swipe gesture is substantially horizontal.
20 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising:
in response to detecting the first gesture:
in accordance with a determination that the first gesture includes a multi-finger rotate gesture, rotating the first image.
21 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising:
while displaying the first image, detecting a second gesture; and in response to detecting the second gesture, displaying, via the display, an interface that includes an array of thumbnail images, wherein the array of thumbnail images includes a first thumbnail image corresponding to the first image.
22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein displaying the first image includes displaying an icon that when activated initiates transfer to the interface that includes the array of thumbnail images, and wherein the second gesture includes an input corresponding to the icon.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
