Adjustable device

Abstract

An adjustable device may include an adapter, a stem configured to connect to the adapter, and a diffuser configured to connect to at least one of the adapter or the stem. The adjustable device may include a variety of configurations to adjust the length of the adjustable device. Additional adjustable devices, systems including the adjustable devices, and methods of forming the adjustable devices are also disclosed.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An adjustable device, comprising:
 an adapter;   a stem configured to connect to the adapter; and   a diffuser configured to connect to at least one of the adapter or the stem.   
     
     
         2 . The adjustable device of  claim 1 , wherein each of the adapter, the stem, and the diffuser comprises a common connection feature such that the diffuser is configured to connect to the stem or the adapter, and the stem is configured to connect to the adapter. 
     
     
         3 . The adjustable device of  claim 1 , wherein the diffuser comprises a connection feature configured to connect to a complementary connection feature of the adapter or a complementary connection feature of the stem. 
     
     
         4 . The adjustable device of  claim 3 , wherein the connection feature of the diffuser comprises a lip, the complementary connection feature of the adapter comprises a recess, and the complementary connection feature of the stem comprises an additional recess, wherein the lip is configured to engage the recess of the adapter or the additional recess of the stem. 
     
     
         5 . The adjustable device of  claim 1 , wherein the adapter comprises:
 a first portion configured to removably connect to the stem or the adapter; and   a second portion configured to removably connect to the first portion of the adapter.   
     
     
         6 . The adjustable device of  claim 5 , wherein the first portion of the adapter exhibits a frustoconical tubular shape including a large end and a small end, and the second portion of the adapter exhibits a frustoconical tubular shape including a large end and a small end. 
     
     
         7 . The adjustable device of  claim 6 , wherein the large end of first portion of the adapter includes a first outer diameter, the large end of the second portion of the adapter includes a second outer diameter, and the second outer diameter is larger than the first outer diameter. 
     
     
         8 . The adjustable device of  claim 1 , wherein the stem comprises:
 a first portion configured to connect to at least one of the adapter or the diffuser, the first portion comprising:
 a first end; 
 a second end opposite the first end; and 
 a first length defined by a distance from the first end of the first portion to the second end of the first portion; and 
   a second portion configured to connect to at least one of the adapter, the first portion of the stem, or the diffuser, the second portion comprising:
 a first end; 
 a second end opposite the first end; and 
 a second length defined by a distance from the first end of the second portion to the second end of the second portion, wherein the first length is greater than the second length. 
   
     
     
         9 . The adjustable device of  claim 1 , wherein the stem comprises:
 a first portion comprising:
 a first end including a first connection feature; and 
 a second, opposite end including a second connection feature; and 
   an additional portion comprising:
 a first end including a first connection feature; and 
 a second, opposite end including a second connection feature. 
   
     
     
         10 . The adjustable device of  claim 9 , wherein the first connection feature of the first portion is the same as the first connection feature of the additional portion, and wherein the second connection feature of the first portion is the same as the second connection feature of the additional portion. 
     
     
         11 . The adjustable device of  claim 1 , wherein the diffuser comprises openings oriented laterally around and longitudinally along the diffuser. 
     
     
         12 . An adjustable device, comprising:
 a first section comprising an adapter; and   a diffuser connected to the first section.   
     
     
         13 . The adjustable device of  claim 12 , wherein the first section further comprises a stem, the stem comprising:
 a first end connected to the adapter; and   a second, opposite end connected to the diffuser.   
     
     
         14 . The adjustable device of  claim 12 , wherein the first section and the diffuser collectively define a central opening that extends through the adjustable device. 
     
     
         15 . The adjustable device of  claim 13 , wherein the first section comprises an adapter, the adapter comprising:
 a first portion, comprising:
 a first end; and 
 a second end opposite the first end, the second end of the first portion connected to the stem; and 
   a second portion, comprising:
 a first end; and 
 a second end opposite the first end, the second end of the second portion connected to the first end of the first portion. 
   
     
     
         16 . The adjustable device of  claim 15 , wherein:
 the first portion of the adapter comprises a first connection feature configured to connect to the stem or the diffuser,   the second portion of the adapter comprises a second connection feature configured to connect to the first portion of the adapter, and   the second connection feature is different than the first connection feature.   
     
     
         17 . An adjustable device, comprising:
 an adapter;   a stem connected to the adapter; and   a diffuser connected to the stem, the diffuser configured to connect to the adapter or the stem.   
     
     
         18 . The adjustable device of  claim 17 , wherein the stem comprises:
 a first portion comprising:
 a first end; 
 a second, opposite end; and 
 a first length defined by a distance from the first end to the second, opposite end of the first portion of the stem. 
   
     
     
         19 . The adjustable device of  claim 18 , wherein the stem further comprises:
 a second portion connected to the first portion, the second portion comprising:
 a first end; 
 a second, opposite end; and 
 a second length from defined by a distance from the first end to the second, opposite end of the second portion of the stem, wherein the first length is greater than the second length. 
   
     
     
         20 . The adjustable device of  claim 19 , wherein:
 the first end of the first portion of the stem is connected to the adapter,   the second, opposite end of the first portion of the stem is connected to the first end of the second portion of the stem, and   the second, opposite end of the second portion of the stem is connected to the diffuser.
