Abstract
A video surveillance system includes: a detection unit that detects a predetermined event on the basis of an image captured by a first imaging apparatus; and a control unit that controls a second imaging apparatus such that the second imaging apparatus captures an image of a predetermined position after the detection of the predetermined event.

at least one memory storing instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to:
detect an event indicating that states of multiple persons are changed simultaneously within a detection target region of a facility; and
control a plurality of imaging apparatuses to capture all of plural entrances of the facility when the predetermined event is detected.
2 . The image processing system according to claim 1 ,
wherein the at least one processor is configured to execute the instructions to further control a movable imaging apparatus capable of changing an image capturing direction to capture an entrance of the facility.
3 . The image processing system according to claim 1 ,
wherein the at least one processor is configured to execute the instructions to further detect, from an image captured by a first imaging apparatus, the event indicating that the states of multiple persons are changed simultaneously.
4 . The image processing system according to claim 3 ,
wherein the at least one processor is configured to execute the instructions to further control a second imaging apparatus to capture an entrance of the facility when the event is detected.
5 . The image processing system according to claim 1 ,
wherein the at least one processor is configured to execute the instructions to further detect, as the event, a large number of persons crouch down all at once.
6 . The image processing system according to claim 1 ,
wherein the at least one processor is configured to execute the instructions to further detect, as the event, crowds start to run all together outward from a certain point.
7 . A video surveillance method executed by a computer, the video surveillance method comprising:
detecting an event indicating that states of multiple persons are changed simultaneously within a detection target region of a facility; and controlling a plurality of imaging apparatuses to capture all of plural entrances of the facility when the predetermined event is detected.
8 . The video surveillance method according to claim 7 , further comprising
controlling a movable imaging apparatus capable of changing an image capturing direction to capture an entrance of the facility.
9 . The video surveillance method according to claim 7 , further comprising
detecting, from an image captured by a first imaging apparatus, the event indicating that the states of multiple persons are changed simultaneously.
10 . The video surveillance method according to claim 9 , further comprising
controlling a second imaging apparatus to capture an entrance of the facility when the event is detected.
11 . The video surveillance method according to claim 7 , further comprising
detecting, as the event, a large number of persons crouch down all at once.
12 . The image processing system according to claim 7 , further comprising
detecting, as the event, crowds start to run all together outward from a certain point.
13 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a program for causing a computer to perform operations, the operations comprising:
detecting an event indicating that states of multiple persons are changed simultaneously within a detection target region of a facility; and controlling a plurality of imaging apparatuses to capture all of plural entrances of the facility when the predetermined event is detected.
14 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 13 ,
wherein the operations further comprise controlling a movable imaging apparatus capable of changing an image capturing direction to capture an entrance of the facility.
15 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 13 ,
wherein the operations further comprise detecting, from an image captured by a first imaging apparatus, the event indicating that the states of multiple persons are changed simultaneously.

wherein the operations further comprise controlling a second imaging apparatus to capture an entrance of the facility when the event is detected.
