Abstract

A system includes a wearable player electronic device and a belt apparatus. The belt apparatus is configured to secure the wearable player electronic device to a player. The belt apparatus includes a band, configured to receive the wearable player electronic device, and a buckle. The band includes a plurality of size adjustment mating features. The buckle is configured to adjust a size of the belt apparatus by selectively locking to the band. A locking mechanism has a locked configuration and a released configuration. The locked configuration is configured to secure the buckle to the band via the locking mechanism, and the released configuration is configured to release the buckle from the band. An actuation mechanism has a belt size adjustment configuration and a belt size locked configuration. The belt size adjustment configuration is configured to allow the band to move relative the buckle.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A system comprising:
 a wearable player electronic device; and   a belt apparatus configured to secure the wearable player electronic device to a player, the belt apparatus comprising:
 a band configured to receive the wearable player electronic device, the band comprising a plurality of size adjustment mating features, and 
 a buckle configured to adjust a size of the belt apparatus by selectively locking to the band, the buckle comprising:
 a locking mechanism having a locked configuration and a released configuration, the locked configuration configured to secure the buckle to the band via the locking mechanism, the released configuration configured to release the buckle from the band, and 
 an actuation mechanism having a belt size adjustment configuration and a belt size locked configuration, the belt size adjustment configuration configured to allow the band to move relative the buckle, the belt size locked configuration configured to secure a locking feature of the actuation mechanism to at least one of the plurality of size adjustment mating features at the band to fix the band relative to the buckle. 
 
   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the actuation mechanism comprises a ratchet clasp and a ratchet clasp release member, the ratchet clasp including the locking feature, the ratchet clasp release member coupled to the ratchet clasp, wherein the belt size locked configuration of the actuation mechanism includes the ratchet clasp engaging at least one of the plurality of size adjustment mating features at the band via the locking feature, and wherein the belt size adjustment configuration of the actuation mechanism includes the ratchet clasp, including the locking feature, disengaged from the plurality of size adjustment mating features at the band. 
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 2 , wherein the ratchet clasp is biased to the belt size locked configuration. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 3 , wherein the ratchet clasp release member is configured to be actuated to move the ratchet clasp from the belt size locked configuration to the belt size adjustment configuration. 
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 4 , wherein, upon actuation, the ratchet clasp release member is configured to cause the ratchet clasp to rotate relative to and away from the band. 
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 5 , wherein, upon actuation, the ratchet clasp release member is configured to cause the locking feature to lift off of the at least one of the plurality of size adjustment mating features at the band as the ratchet clasp rotates relative to and away from the band. 
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 6 , wherein the ratchet clasp release member comprises an arm that extends out from the buckle. 
     
     
         8 . The system of  claim 6 , wherein the buckle is made of a force-absorbing polymer material. 
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the wearable player electronic device includes a display and an attachment sleeve, wherein the display is coupled to the attachment sleeve, and wherein the attachment sleeve is configured to be received at the band to secure the wearable player electronic device to the player. 
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the display is configured to show a play for execution by the player. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 10 , wherein the wearable player electronic device is movable relative to the belt apparatus. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the attachment sleeve is configured to move relative to and along the band. 
     
     
         13 . A belt apparatus configured to secure a wearable player electronic device to a player, the belt apparatus comprising:
 a band comprising a plurality of size adjustment mating feature; and   a buckle configured to adjust a size of the belt apparatus by selectively locking to the band, the buckle comprising:
 a locking mechanism having a locked configuration and a released configuration, the locked configuration configured to secure the buckle to the band via the locking mechanism, the released configuration configured to release the buckle from the band, and 
 an actuation mechanism having a belt size adjustment configuration and a belt size locked configuration, the belt size adjustment configuration configured to allow the band to move relative the buckle, the belt size locked configuration configured to secure a locking feature of the actuation mechanism to at least one of the plurality of size adjustment mating features at the band to fix the band relative to the buckle. 
   
     
     
         14 . The apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein the band includes a recess, and wherein the plurality of size adjustment mating features are included at the recess. 
     
     
         15 . The apparatus of  claim 14 , wherein the plurality of size adjustment mating features include a plurality of pairs of teeth extending out from the recess, and wherein the locking feature of the actuation mechanism is configured to engage one of the plurality of pairs of teeth at the recess to fix the band relative to the buckle. 
     
     
         16 . The apparatus of  claim 15 , wherein the recess includes a lowest surface at which the plurality of pairs of teeth are anchored at the recess, and wherein the lowest surface is a solid surface along a length of the recess lacking any hole. 
     
     
         17 . The apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein the belt apparatus has a mass equal to or less than eight ounces. 
     
     
         18 . The apparatus of  claim 17 , wherein the buckle is made of a force-absorbing polymer material. 
     
     
         19 . The apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein the actuation mechanism comprises a ratchet clasp and a ratchet clasp release member, the ratchet clasp including the locking feature, the ratchet clasp release member coupled to the ratchet clasp, wherein the belt size locked configuration of the actuation mechanism includes the ratchet clasp engaging at least one of the plurality of size adjustment mating features at the band via the locking feature, wherein the belt size adjustment configuration of the actuation mechanism includes the ratchet clasp, including the locking feature, disengaged from the plurality of size adjustment mating features at the band, and wherein the ratchet clasp is biased to the belt size locked configuration. 
     
     
         20 . The apparatus of  claim 19 , wherein the ratchet clasp release member is configured to be actuated to move the ratchet clasp from the belt size locked configuration to the belt size adjustment configuration, and wherein, upon actuation, the ratchet clasp release member is configured to cause the locking feature to lift off of the at least one of the plurality of size adjustment mating features at the band as the ratchet clasp rotates relative to and away from the band.
