Claims

Abstract

A virtual background template is identified for a conference. The virtual background template includes a placement of a virtual background boundary area and a tag associated with the virtual background boundary area. Contextual information of the conference is determined to include the tag. In response to determining that the contextual information of the conference includes the tag, a media file is identified based on the tag. The media file is displayed in the virtual background boundary area during the conference. The tag may be received, via a user interface, as textual input into the virtual background boundary area.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method, comprising:
 identifying a virtual background template for a conference, wherein the virtual background template includes a placement of a virtual background boundary area and a tag associated with the virtual background boundary area;   determining that contextual information of the conference includes the tag;   in response to determining that the contextual information of the conference includes the tag, identifying a media file based on the tag; and   displaying the media file in the virtual background boundary area during the conference.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein identifying the media file based on the tag comprises:
 identifying that the media file is tagged with the tag.   
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 receiving the tag as a textual input directly into the virtual background boundary area via a user interface that enables configuring of the virtual background template.   
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 receiving an initial placement of the virtual background boundary area via a user interface that enables configuring of the virtual background template; and   setting the placement of the virtual background boundary area in the virtual background template based on an input received via the user interface.   
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein displaying the media file in the virtual background boundary area during the conference comprises:
 overlaying the media file over another virtual background boundary area described in the virtual background template.   
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein displaying the media file in the virtual background boundary area during the conference comprises:
 displaying the virtual background boundary area according to a location, a shape, and a size of the virtual background boundary area included in the virtual background template.   
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the virtual background template includes more than one virtual background boundary area that are layered. 
     
     
         8 . A system, comprising:
 a memory; and   a processor, the processor configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to:
 identify a virtual background template for a conference, wherein the virtual background template includes a placement of a virtual background boundary area and a tag associated with the virtual background boundary area; 
 determine that contextual information of the conference includes the tag; 
 in response to determining that the contextual information of the conference includes the tag, identify a media file based on the tag; and 
 display the media file in the virtual background boundary area during the conference. 
   
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the media file is associated with the tag. 
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the tag is received, via a user interface, as textual input into the virtual background boundary area. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to:
 set the placement of the virtual background boundary area based on an input received via a user interface that enables configuring of the virtual background template.   
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the virtual background template includes at least two virtual background boundary areas. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the virtual background template includes at least one of a location, a shape, or a size of the virtual background boundary area. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the virtual background template includes more than one virtual background boundary area that are layered. 
     
     
         15 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions operable to cause one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
 identifying a virtual background template for a conference, wherein the virtual background template includes a placement of a virtual background boundary area and a tag associated with the virtual background boundary area;   determining that contextual information of the conference includes the tag;   in response to determining that the contextual information of the conference includes the tag, identifying a media file based on the tag; and   displaying the media file in the virtual background boundary area during the conference.   
     
     
         16 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of  claim 15 , wherein identifying the media file based on the tag comprises:
 matching a tag associated with the media file to the tag.   
     
     
         17 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of  claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 displaying a user interface that enables configuring of the virtual background template;   receiving, via the user interface, the placement of virtual background boundary area; and   receiving the tag as a textual input into the virtual background boundary area.   
     
     
         18 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of  claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 receiving, via a user interface that enables configuring of the virtual background template, a size of the virtual background boundary area.   
     
     
         19 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of  claim 15 , wherein displaying the media file in the virtual background boundary area during the conference comprises:
 overlaying the media file over another virtual background boundary area described in the virtual background template.   
     
     
         20 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of  claim 15 , wherein the virtual background template and the media file are stored as a collective container.
