Systems and Methods for Transaction Tracing Within an IT Environment
Abstract
A system for tracing transactions includes a system mapping engine configured to generate a multi-tier control point map based on linked transactions across one or more systems having different management software, wherein the linked transactions are identified from transaction records obtained from parsed source code and transaction data of the one or more source systems; and a tracing engine configured to trace the linked transactions across the one or more source systems based on the multi-tier control point map. The multi-tier control point map provides end-to-end transaction traceability via the linked transactions.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A system for tracing transactions, the system comprising:
a system mapping engine configured to:
generate a multi-tier control point map based on linked transactions across one or more systems having different management software, wherein the linked transactions are identified from transaction records obtained from parsed source code and transaction data of the one or more source systems; and
a tracing engine configured to trace the linked transactions across the one or more source systems based on the multi-tier control point map, wherein the multi-tier control point map provides end-to-end transaction traceability via the linked transactions.
2 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
a dashboard configured to provide user navigation among tiers of the multi-tier control point map.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the system mapping engine generates the multi-tier control point map via match-and-merge techniques.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the transaction data includes transaction records, and wherein the multi-tier control point map links golden records of grouped transaction records.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the system mapping engine is further configured to:
group the transaction records so as to generate a golden record for each group of transaction records; and identify golden records whose attributes indicate linked transactions across the one or more source systems, wherein the multi-tier control point map is generated based on the golden records.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the tracing engine is further configured to:
identify one or more failure point for completeness, timeliness and/or accuracy of the linked transactions, from an end-to-end trace of the linked transactions; and create one or more alerts and/or notifications based on the identified one or more failure points.
7 . A method for tracing transactions between and among source systems, the method comprising:
receiving, by a system mapping engine, source code and transaction data of one or more source systems; generating, by the system mapping engine, a multi-tier control point map based on linked transactions across one or more systems having different management software, wherein the linked transactions are identified from transaction records obtained from the parsed source code and transaction data; and tracing the linked transactions, via a tracing engine, across the one or more source systems based on the multi-tier control point map, wherein the multi-tier control point map provides end-to-end transaction traceability via the linked transactions.
8 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising:
providing user navigation, via a dashboard, among tiers of the multi-tier control point map.
9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the multi-tier control point map is generated via match-and-merge techniques.
10 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the transaction data includes transaction records, and wherein the multi-tier control point map links golden records of grouped transaction records.
11 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising:
grouping the transaction records so as to generate a golden record for each group of transaction records; and identifying golden records whose attributes indicate linked transactions across the one or more source systems, wherein the multi-tier control point map is generated based on the golden records.
12 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the method further comprises:
identifying one or more failure point for completeness, timeliness and/or accuracy of the linked transactions, from an end-to-end trace of the linked transactions; and creating one or more alerts and/or notifications based on the identified one or more failure points.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
