3 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to render the thumbnail area along an edge of the touchscreen.
4 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to cause the camera to capture the at least one still image or video in response to selection of a shutter icon.
5 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to cause the first one of the series of thumbnails to be displayed on a right side of the thumbnail area prior to capture of the second one of the series of thumbnails.
6 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 5 , wherein the processor circuitry is to:
cause the second one of the series of thumbnails to be displayed on the right side of the thumbnail area after the capture of the second one of the series of thumbnails; and cause the first one of the series of thumbnails to be displayed on the left side of the second one of the series of thumbnails.
7 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 2 , wherein the first location of the thumbnail area is located on a right end of the thumbnail area and the second location of the thumbnail area is located to a left side of the first location of the thumbnail area.
8 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to cause the camera to enter a second mode corresponding to a burst mode.
9 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 8 , wherein the processor circuitry is to cause the camera to sequentially capture a series of still images.
10 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to cause the thumbnail area to render a number of thumbnail locations corresponding to a length of the thumbnail area.
11 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to cause an oldest image to be removed from the thumbnail area when a new image is added to the thumbnail area.
12 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to cause the touchscreen to not display the thumbnail area in response to a third activation of the touchscreen.
13 . A portable electronic device comprising:
means for capturing images; input/output means for obtaining inputs; means for storing; and means for processing to:
cause the means for capturing images to enter a first mode in response to a first interaction with the input/output means, the first interaction corresponding to an icon displayed on the input/output means, the first mode corresponding to at least one of a still image mode or a video mode;
cause the input/output means to display a series of thumbnails in a thumbnail area in response to a second interaction with the input/output means, a first one of the series of thumbnails to be displayed in a first location of the thumbnail area;
cause the means for capturing images to capture at least one image; and
cause the input/output means to display (a) the first one of the series of thumbnails in a second location of the thumbnail area, the second location adjacent to the first location, and to display (b) a second one of the series of thumbnails in the first location of the thumbnail area, the second one of the thumbnails corresponding to the at least one image.
14 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 13 , wherein the means for processing is to render the thumbnail area along an edge of the input/output means.
15 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 13 , wherein the processing means is to cause the means for capturing images to capture the at least one image in response to selection of a shutter icon.
16 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 13 , wherein the processing means is to cause the first one of the series of thumbnails to be displayed on a right side of the thumbnail area prior to capture of the second one of the series of thumbnails.
17 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 16 , wherein the processing means is to:
cause the second one of the series of thumbnails to be displayed on the right side of the thumbnail area after the capture of the second one of the series of thumbnails; and cause the first one of the series of thumbnails to be displayed on the left side of the second one of the series of thumbnails.
18 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 13 , wherein the first location of the thumbnail area is located on a right end of the thumbnail area and the second location of the thumbnail area is located to a left side of the first location of the thumbnail area.
19 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 13 , wherein the processing means is to cause the means for capturing images to enter a second mode corresponding to a burst mode.
20 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 19 , wherein the processing means is to cause the means for capturing images to sequentially capture a series of still images.
21 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 13 , wherein the processing means is to cause the thumbnail area to render a number of thumbnail locations corresponding to a length of the thumbnail area.
22 . The portable electronic device as defined in claim 13 , wherein the processing means is to cause an oldest image to be removed from the thumbnail area when a new image is added to the thumbnail area.
