Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a data processing solution. In this solution, a hard disk receives a call instruction sent by a server, where the call instruction includes a function identifier of a to-be-called function and an operation address; and the hard disk calls the function in the hard disk based on the function identifier, and performs, based on the function, an operation on data corresponding to the operation address.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A data processing method, comprising:
 receiving, by a hard disk, a call instruction sent by a server, wherein the call instruction sent by the server indicating a function stored within the hard disk, and an execution parameter, wherein the execution parameter is query content; calling, by the hard disk, the function stored within the hard disk; and querying, by the hard disk based on the function stored within the hard disk and the query content within the execution parameter, data stored in the hard disk, to obtain a query result, wherein the query result indicates whether the query content is present in the data stored in the hard disk; and returning, by the hard disk, the query result to the server.

         2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the hard disk receives the call instruction sent by the server by using a non-volatile memory express (NVMe) protocol.

         3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the server is a storage array controller.

         4 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the server is an application server.

         5 . The method according to claim 1 , further comprising:
 receiving, by the hard disk, the function; and storing, by the hard disk, the function at a function memory address in a non-volatile storage medium of the hard disk.

         6 . The method according to claim 5 , wherein the call instruction sent by the server comprises a function identifier of the function, and
 wherein the calling, by the hard disk, the function stored within the hard disk, comprising: querying, by the hard disk, a correspondence between the function identifier and the function memory address using the function identifier; and calling, by the hard disk, the function stored within the hard disk based on the function identifier in the hard disk.

         7 . A hard disk, comprising: an interface, a controller, and a non-volatile storage medium; wherein:
 the interface is configured to receive a call instruction sent by a server, wherein the call instruction sent by the server indicating a function stored within the hard disk, and an execution parameter, wherein the execution parameter is query content; and the controller is configured to:
 call the function stored within the hard disk;
 query based on the function stored within the hard disk and the query content within the execution parameter, data stored in the hard disk, to obtain a query result, wherein the query result indicates whether the query content is present in the data stored in the hard disk; and
 return the query result to the server.

         8 . The hard disk according to claim 7 , wherein the interface supports a non-volatile memory express (NVMe) protocol.

         9 . The hard disk according to claim 7 , wherein the server is a storage array controller.

         10 . The hard disk according to claim 7 , wherein the server is an application server.

         11 . The hard disk according to claim 7 , the controller is further configured to:
 receive the function; and store the function at a function memory address in a non-volatile storage medium of the hard disk.

         12 . The hard disk according to claim 11 , wherein the call instruction sent by the server comprises a function identifier of the function, and the controller is further configured to:
 query a correspondence between the function identifier and the function memory address using the function identifier; and call the function stored within the hard disk based on the function identifier in the hard disk.

         13 . A data processing system, comprising: a server and a hard disk;
 wherein the server is configured to send a call instruction to the hard disk, wherein the call instruction sent by the server indicating a function stored within the hard disk, and an execution parameter, wherein the execution parameter is query content; and wherein the hard disk is configured to:
 receive the call instruction sent to the hard disk by the server;
 call the function stored within the hard disk;
 query based on the function stored within the hard disk and the query content within the execution parameter, data stored in the hard disk, to obtain a query result, wherein the query result indicates whether the query content is present in the data stored in the hard disk; and
 return the query result to the server.

         14 . The data processing system according to claim 13 , wherein an interface of the hard disk supports a non-volatile memory express (NVMe) protocol.

         15 . The data processing system according to claim 13 , wherein the server is a storage array controller.

         16 . The data processing system according to claim 13 , wherein the server is an application server.
