Abstract

An information processing apparatus includes a processing portion configured to perform information processing. The processing portion is configured to obtain definition information in which a first mnemonic and a second mnemonic different from the first mnemonic are associated with each other.

         24 . An information processing apparatus comprising: a processing portion configured to perform information processing,
 wherein the processing portion is configured to:   cause a display portion to display a setting screen for a user to associate a first element written in a first mnemonic and a second element written in a second mnemonic with each other, and   translate a first program written in the first mnemonic into a second program written in the second mnemonic based on an input to the setting screen by the user,   wherein the first program or the second program is applied for sequence control of a programmable logic controller (PLC).   
     
     
         25 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the first element includes at least one of a first device element written in the first mnemonic and a first command element written in the first mnemonic, and the second element includes at least one of a second device element written in the second mnemonic and a second command element written in the second mnemonic. 
     
     
         26 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the processing portion is configured to obtain a definition information in which the second element associated with the first element is defined, based on an input to the setting screen by the user. 
     
     
         27 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 26 , wherein the processing portion is configured to obtain intermediate information used for translating the first program into the second program, by using the definition information. 
     
     
         28 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 27 , wherein the processing portion is configured to obtain the intermediate information by writing a predetermined program in a format of predetermined mnemonic. 
     
     
         29 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 26 , wherein the processing portion is configured to obtain the definition information based on design information. 
     
     
         30 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 26 , further comprising a storage portion configured to store the definition information,
 wherein the processing portion is configured to translate the first program into the second program by using the definition information.   
     
     
         31 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the processing portion is configured to obtain the second element from the second program. 
     
     
         32 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the processing portion is configured to obtain the first element based on design information. 
     
     
         33 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the processing portion is configured to cause the display portion to display the first element and the second element such that the first element is associated with the second element.

The information processing apparatus according to  claim 31 , wherein if a third element duplicated with an extracted second element is extracted from the second program, the processing portion does not display the third element as the second element on the setting screen. 
     
     
         35 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the processing portion is configured to cause the display portion to display candidates of the first element to be associated with the second element. 
     
     
         36 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein at least one of the first program and the second program is a ladder program. 
     
     
         37 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , further comprising an output portion configured to output a result obtained through processing performed by the processing portion,
 wherein the processing portion is configured to cause the output portion to output the second program.

The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein at least one of an addition button to newly add the first element or the second element to be associated, delete button to delete the first element or the second element that has associated, and save button save the first element or the second element that has associated, is displayed on the display portion. 
     
     
         39 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the processing portion is configured to:
 extract the first element from the first program written in the first mnemonic,   cause the display portion to display a first list that lists the first element,   extract the second element from the second program written in the second mnemonic, and   cause the display portion to display a second list that lists the second element.   
     
     
         40 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 39 , wherein, if the first list or the second list contains an element that is not associated with a corresponding element, the processing portion is configured to display the element that is not associated with the corresponding element as a blank cell in the first list or the second list. 
     
     
         41 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 39 , wherein the processing portion is configured to display the second element in a pull-down menu shown in the first list and display the first element in a pull-down menu shown in the second list. 
     
     
         42 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the first program is applied for sequence control of a first programmable logic controller (PLC), and the second program is applied for sequence control of a second programmable logic controller (PLC). 
     
     
         43 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the processing portion is configured to extract the first element from a text file that specifies rules of a language specification used to write the first program and extract the second element from a text file that specifies rules of a language specification used to write the second program. 
     
     
         44 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 25 , wherein the first device element or the second device element is an element that corresponds to a device controlled by the first program or the second program,
 and the first command element or the second command element is an element that corresponds to a command sent to the device controlled by the first program or the second program.   
     
     
         45 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , further comprising an input portion configured to receive input to the setting screen by the user. 
     
     
         46 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 37 , wherein the processing portion is configured to cause the output portion to output the second program in a text file format or in a binary format. 
     
     
         47 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the processing portion is configured to cause the display portion to display the setting screen in a table format. 
     
     
         48 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the processing portion is configured to obtain selection information that indicates which type of mnemonic is selected as the second mnemonic by the user. 
     
     
         49 . An information processing method performed by a processing portion, the method comprising:
 causing, by the processing portion, a display portion to display a setting screen for a user to associate a first element written in a first mnemonic and a second element written in a second mnemonic with each other, and   translating, by the processing portion, a first program written in the first mnemonic into a second program written in the second mnemonic based on an input to the setting screen by the user,   wherein the first program or the second program is applied for sequence control of a programmable logic controller (PLC).   
     
     
         50 . A ladder-program generation apparatus comprising: a processing portion configured to perform information processing,
 wherein the processing portion is configured to:   cause a display portion to display a setting screen for a user to associate a first element written in a first mnemonic and a second element written in a second mnemonic with each other, and   translate a first program written in the first mnemonic into a second program written in the second mnemonic based on an input to the setting screen by the user,   wherein the first program or the second program is applied for sequence control of a programmable logic controller (PLC).   
     
     
         51 . A ladder program generation method performed by a processing portion, the method comprising:
 causing, by the processing portion, a display portion to display a setting screen for a user to associate a first element written in a first mnemonic and a second element written in a second mnemonic with each other, and   translating, by the processing portion, a first program written in the first mnemonic into a second program written in the second mnemonic based on an input to the setting screen by the user,   wherein the first program or the second program is applied for sequence control of a programmable logic controller (PLC).   
     
     
         52 . A method of manufacturing a product, comprising:
 translating a first program into a second program by the information processing apparatus according to  claim 24 ; and   controlling a device by applying the second program for manufacturing the product.   
     
     
         53 . A computer-readable recording medium storing a program that causes a computer to execute the information processing method according to  claim 49 .
