Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method for protecting a firearm from corrosion, the firearm configured to receive a standard bullet for firing, the method comprising:
providing an anticorrosive dummy bullet, the anticorrosive dummy bullet is made from a plastic or polymeric material and infused with vapor corrosion inhibitor, wherein the anticorrosive dummy bullet is configured to slowly release the vapor corrosion inhibitor over a period of time; and putting the anticorrosive dummy bullet into the firearm in place of the standard bullet.

2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the anticorrosive dummy bullet is placed in a chamber of the firearm.

3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the period of time is one week.

4 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the period of time is one month.

5 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the period of time is one year.

6 . An anticorrosive dummy bullet for a firearm to protect the firearm from corrosion, the firearm configured to receive a standard bullet for firing, the anticorrosive dummy bullet comprising:
a body made from plastic or polymeric material; and vapor corrosion inhibitor infused into the body of the anticorrosive dummy bullet, wherein the anticorrosive dummy bullet is configured to slowly release the vapor corrosion inhibitor over a period of time.

7 . The anticorrosive dummy bullet according to claim 6 , wherein the period of time is one week.

8 . The anticorrosive dummy bullet according to claim 6 , wherein the period of time is one month.

9 . The anticorrosive dummy bullet according to claim 6 , wherein the period of time is one year.
