Abstract
A system for charging a battery within an at least partially electric vehicle. The system includes a charging device wherein the charging device configured to electrically connect to the at least partially electric vehicle and charge at least one battery by a predetermined amount. The system also includes a network configured to determine the location of the charging device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . System for communicating electric energy comprising:
an electrical transfer interface configured to couple a battery and an infrastructure; wherein the electrical transfer interface is configured to:
receive an amount of electricity to transfer between the battery and the infrastructure;
transfer electricity between the battery and the infrastructure during peak electric hours wherein the infrastructure uses the electricity from the battery as electric power;
monitor the transfer of electricity between the battery wherein total transfer of all of the electricity from the battery is prevented;
transfer electricity between the infrastructure and the battery during off peak hours; and
adjust a charge of the battery.
2 . System of claim 1 further comprising an electric vehicle, wherein the battery is fixed relative to said electric vehicle.
3 . System of claim 2 wherein the electrical transfer interface is configured to adjust a parking fee corresponding to the amount of electricity that is transferred to the battery.
4 . System of claim 2 wherein the electric vehicle is configured to authorize and/or limit an amount of the transfer of electricity.
5 . System of claim 1 wherein the battery and the infrastructure communicate via a network.
6 . System of claim 5 wherein the network is programmable to transfer electricity from the infrastructure to the battery at a time.
7 . System of claim 1 wherein the interface is configured to determine an amount of electricity available in the battery.
8 . System of claim 1 wherein the interface is configured to limit an amount of electricity that may be transferred between the battery and the infrastructure.
9 . System for communicating electric energy comprising:
an electrical transfer means for coupling a battery and an infrastructure, wherein the electrical transfer means is configured to:
receive an amount of electricity to transfer between the battery and the infrastructure;
transfer electricity between the battery and the infrastructure during peak electric hours wherein the infrastructure uses the electricity from the battery as electric power;
monitor the transfer of electricity between the battery wherein total transfer of all of the electricity from the battery is prevented;
transfer electricity between the infrastructure and the battery during off peak hours; and
adjust a charge of the battery.
10 . System of claim 9 further comprising an electric vehicle, wherein the battery is fixed relative to said electric vehicle.
11 . System of claim 10 wherein the electrical transfer means is configured to adjust a parking fee corresponding to the amount of electricity that is transferred to the battery.
12 . System of claim 10 wherein the electric vehicle is configured to authorize and/or limit an amount of the transfer of electricity.
13 . System of claim 9 wherein the battery and the infrastructure communicate via a network.
14 . System of claim 13 wherein the network is programmable to transfer electricity from the infrastructure to the battery at a time.
15 . System of claim 9 wherein the transfer means is configured to determine an amount of electricity available in the battery.
16 . System of claim 9 wherein the transfer means is configured to limit an amount of electricity that may be transferred between the battery and the infrastructure.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
