Interactive searching using gestures on any mobile search results page
Abstract
Disclosed herein are method, system, and computer program product embodiments for filtering website records based on user gestures. In an embodiment, a method can include presenting, via a user device, at least one of a plurality of search filters or a plurality of website records. Further, the method can include receiving, via a touch screen interface of the user device, a user gesture comprising a graphical representation of a search filter input, the user gesture being provided over at least one of a search filter of the plurality of search filters or a website record of the plurality of website records. Additionally, the method can include determining the search filter input from the user gesture, filtering the plurality of web site records based on the search filter input, and presenting, via the user device, a filtered plurality of website records.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
presenting, via a user device, at least one of a plurality of search filters or a plurality of website records; receiving, via a touch screen interface of the user device, a user gesture comprising a graphical representation of a search filter input, the user gesture being provided over at least one of a search filter of the plurality of search filters or a website record of the plurality of website records; determining the search filter input based on the user gesture; filtering the plurality of website records based on the search filter input; and presenting, via the user device, a filtered plurality of website records.
2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the graphical representation of the search filter input comprises at least one of a word, a letter, a number, or a symbol.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the search filter input comprises at least one of a city, a state, a zip code, a year, or a color.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the search filter input comprises instructions to remove a search filter from the plurality of search filters or a website record from the plurality of website records.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 4 , wherein the graphical representation of the search filter input comprises an “X” symbol.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the user gesture comprises circling content of a search filter of the plurality of search filters or content of a website record of the plurality of website records.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 6 , wherein the search filter input comprises a selection of the circled content as a search parameter.
8 . A system, comprising:
a memory; and one or more processors coupled to the memory and configured to:
present, via a user device, at least one of a plurality of search filters or a plurality of website records;
receive, via a touch screen interface of the user device, a user gesture comprising a graphical representation of a search filter input, the user gesture being provided over at least one of a search filter of the plurality of search filters or a website record of the plurality of website records;
determine the search filter input based on the user gesture;
filter the plurality of website records based on the search filter input; and
present, via the user device, a filtered plurality of website records.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the graphical representation of the search filter input comprises at least one of a word, a letter, a number, or a symbol written or drawn on the touch screen interface.
10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the search filter input comprises at least one of a city, a state, a zip code, a year, or a color.
11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the search filter input comprises instructions to remove a search filter from the plurality of search filters or a website record from the plurality of website records.
12 . The system claim 11 , wherein the graphical representation of the search filter input comprises an “X” symbol.
13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the user gesture comprises circling content of a search filter of the plurality of search filters or content of a website record of the plurality of website records.
14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the search filter input comprises a selection of the circled content as a search parameter.
15 . A non-transitory computer-readable device having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one computing device, cause the at least one computing device to perform operations comprising:
presenting, via a user device, at least one of a plurality of search filters or a plurality of website records; receiving, via a touch screen interface of the user device, a user gesture comprising a graphical representation of a search filter input, the user gesture being provided over at least one of a search filter of the plurality of search filters or a website record of the plurality of website records; determining the search filter input based on the user gesture; filtering the plurality of website records based on the search filter input; and presenting, via the user device, a filtered plurality of website records.
16 . The non-transitory computer-readable device of claim 15 , wherein the graphical representation of the search filter input comprises at least one of a word, a letter, a number, or a symbol written or drawn on the touch screen interface.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable device of claim 16 , wherein the search filter input comprises at least one of a city, a state, a zip code, a year, or a color.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable device of claim 16 , wherein the search filter input comprises instructions to remove a search filter from the plurality of search filters or a website record from the plurality of website records, and wherein the graphical representation of the search filter input comprises an “X” symbol.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable device of claim 15 , wherein the user gesture comprises circling content of a search filter of the plurality of search filters or content of a website record of the plurality of website records.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable device of claim 19 , wherein the search filter input comprises a selection of the circled content as a search parameter.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
