Abstract

A handheld vacuum cleaner includes a housing, a handle connected thereto, an intake inlet through which air can be drawn in the cleaner, an exhaust port through which the cleaned air exits the cleaner, an airflow circuit extending between the inlet and the exhaust port, a suction unit fitted on the airflow circuit including an electric motor and a fan to generate an air flow in the airflow circuit, a waste separation device fitted on the airflow circuit and through which an air flow generated by the suction unit passes a tank, for receiving the waste separated by the waste separation device, removably attached to the housing, a suction unit casing including a first wall covering the suction unit. The casing includes a second wall covering the first wall and formed apart from the first wall to define, an internal space extending between the first and second walls.

1 . A handheld vacuum cleaner comprising
 a vacuum cleaner housing,   a handle connected to the vacuum cleaner housing,   an intake inlet through which air is configured to be drawn by the handheld vacuum cleaner,   at least one exhaust port through which cleaned air is configured to exit the handheld vacuum cleaner,   an airflow circuit extending between the intake inlet and the at least one exhaust port,   a suction unit fitted on the airflow circuit, the suction unit comprising an electric motor and a fan coupled to the electric motor to generate an air flow in the airflow circuit from the intake inlet to the at least one exhaust port,   a waste separation device fitted on the airflow circuit upstream of the suction unit and through which an air flow generated by the suction unit passes is configured to pass when the handheld vacuum cleaner is operated,   a removable tank, for receiving waste separated by the waste separation device, removably attached to the vacuum cleaner housing,   a suction unit casing comprising a first wall that at least partially covers the suction unit, wherein   the suction unit casing comprises a second wall that at least partially covers the first wall, and   the second wall is formed apart from the first wall so as to define, at least in part, an internal space of the handheld vacuum cleaner extending between the first wall and the second wall,   wherein   the electric motor comprises an output shaft with a rotary axis (X), the output shaft coupled to the fan, and wherein the first wall and the second wall are partially annular in shape around the rotary axis (X), the first wall and the second wall defining an internal space that is partially annular in shape around the suction unit.   
     
     
         2 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 1 , wherein the first wall and the second wall are manufactured in one piece.

The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 1 , in wherein the electric motor comprises an output shaft with a rotary axis (X), the output shaft coupled to the fan, wherein the first wall and the second wall are annular in shape, substantially coaxial with the rotary axis (X), and wherein the first wall and the second wall define, at least in part, an annular inner space that extends around the suction unit. 
     
     
         4 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 1  wherein the first wall and the second wall are connected by at least one connecting wall, the first wall, the second wall and the connecting wall are made in one piece. 
     
     
         5 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 4 , wherein the connecting wall extends radially, relative to the rotary axis of the electric motor, between the first wall and the second wall. 
     
     
         6 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 4 , wherein the connecting wall is in the shape of an annular disk. 
     
     
         7 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 1 , wherein the first wall and the second wall are connected by connecting arms, the first wall, the second wall and the connecting arms are made in one piece. 
     
     
         8 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to any  claim 1 , wherein the suction unit casing comprises an access opening for accessing the internal space, the connecting wall formed on a side of the suction unit casing that is opposite the access opening. 
     
     
         9 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 1 , wherein the internal space forms a chamber or duct located on the airflow circuit and through which an air flow generated by the suction unit is configured to pass when the handheld vacuum cleaner is operated. 
     
     
         10 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 1 , wherein the internal space forms a filter chamber with a filter placed therewithin, the filter chamber and the filter disposed in the airflow circuit and through which an air flow generated by the suction unit is configured to pass when the handheld vacuum cleaner is operated. 
     
     
         11 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 10 , wherein the filter chamber and the filter are disposed in the airflow circuit downstream of the suction unit. 
     
     
         12 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 4 , wherein the internal space forms a filter chamber with a filter placed therewithin, the filter chamber and the filter arranged in the airflow circuit and through which an air flow generated by the suction unit is configured to pass when the handheld vacuum cleaner is operated, and wherein the filter chamber is at least partially delimited by the first wall, the second wall and the connecting wall, the access opening making it possible to insert or remove the filter. 
     
     
         13 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 10 , wherein the filter chamber and the filter are annular in shape and extend around the suction unit. 
     
     
         14 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 12 , wherein the filter chamber comprises at least one air inlet formed in the connecting wall, the air inlet on the filter chamber in fluid communication with an air outlet in the suction unit, and the filter chamber comprises at least one air outlet formed in the second wall. 
     
     
         15 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of the second wall forms at least one wall of the vacuum cleaner housing. 
     
     
         16 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 1 , wherein said at least one air outlet of the filter chamber is said at least one exhaust port. 
     
     
         17 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 3 , wherein the first wall and the second wall are tubular or frustoconical. 
     
     
         18 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 4 , wherein the first wall, the second wall and the connecting wall are made in one piece obtained by plastic injection molding. 
     
     
         19 . The handheld vacuum cleaner according to  claim 4 , wherein the first wall, the second wall and the connecting wall are made in one piece obtained by plastic injection molding.
