Abstract

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer-readable media, for predictively providing access to resources. In some implementations, a method includes receiving movement data indicating movement of a mobile device associated with a user while the mobile device approaches a resource is received. A credential of the user authorizes access to the resource. Based on the movement data, the movement of the mobile device is classified as corresponding to an attempt to access the resource. The mobile device is determined to be in proximity to the resource. Before the user interacts with the resource, the resource is caused to be unlocked or opened in response to determining that the credential of the user authorizes access to the resource, classifying the movement of the mobile device as corresponding to an attempt to access the resource, and determining that the mobile device is in proximity to the resource.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method performed by one or more computing devices, the method comprising:
 receiving, by the one or more computing devices, data from a device of a user, wherein the received data indicates a set of actions of the user; authenticating, by the one or more computing devices, the user and determining that a credential of the user authorizes access to a particular secured resource; based on the movement data, classifying, by the one or more computing devices, the set of actions as indicating that the user is likely to access the particular secured resource; after receiving the data that indicates the set of actions of the user and before the user subsequently requests access to the particular secured resource, granting the user access to the particular secured resource in response to (i) authenticating the user and determining that the credential of the user authorizes access to the particular secured resource and (ii) classifying the set of actions as indicating that the user is likely to access the particular secured resource.

         2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the particular secured resource is a software item.

         3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the particular secured resource is a website.

         4 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising determining, by the one or more computing devices, that a mobile device of the user is in proximity to a device that provides access to the secured resource;
 wherein granting access to the particular secured resource is performed further in response to determining that the mobile device of the user is in proximity to the device that provides access to the particular secured resource.

         5 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising determining, by the one or more computing devices, that a mobile device of the user is (i) approaching a location where the secured resource can be accessed and (ii) within a predetermined level of proximity to the location;
 wherein granting access to the secured resource is performed further in response to determining that the mobile device of the user is (i) approaching the location where the particular secured resource can be accessed and (ii) within a predetermined level of proximity to the location.

         6 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising determining, based on the set of actions of the user, that the user is predicted to attempt to access the particular secured resource within a predetermined amount of time;
 wherein granting access to the particular secured resource is performed in response to determining that that the user is predicted to attempt to access the secured resource within a predetermined amount of time.

         7 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising detecting a predetermined condition indicating that the user is likely to initiate to access the particular secured resource within a predetermined amount of time;
 wherein granting access to the particular secured resource is performed in response to detecting the predetermined condition indicating that the user is likely to initiate to access the particular secured resource within a predetermined amount of time.

         8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein granting access to the particular secured resource comprises granting access to the secured resource for a limited period of time, wherein the one or more computers are configured to automatically restrict access to the particular secured resource if the user does not access the particular secured resource before the end of the limited period of time.

         9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data indicating the actions of the user includes movement data indicating movement of a mobile device of the user while the mobile device travels on a path approaching a physical location where the particular secured resource can be accessed; and
 wherein the set of actions is classified as indicating that the user is likely to access the particular secured resource based on a similarity between (i) the path travelled by the mobile device approaching the physical location where the particular secured resource can be accessed and (ii) one or more previous paths taken by the user that resulted in the user accessing the particular secured resource or one or more other secured resources.

         10 . A system comprising:
 one or more computing devices; and one or more computer-readable media storing instructions that are operable, when executed by the one or more computing devices, to cause the system to perform operations comprising:
 receiving, by the one or more computing devices, data from a device of a user, wherein the received data indicates a set of actions of the user;
 authenticating, by the one or more computing devices, the user and determining that a credential of the user authorizes access to a particular secured resource;
 based on the movement data, classifying, by the one or more computing devices, the set of actions as indicating that the user is likely to access the particular secured resource;
 after receiving the data that indicates the set of actions of the user and before the user subsequently requests access to the particular secured resource, granting the user access to the particular secured resource in response to (i) authenticating the user and determining that the credential of the user authorizes access to the particular secured resource and (ii) classifying the set of actions as indicating that the user is likely to access the particular secured resource.

         11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the particular secured resource is a software item.

         12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the particular secured resource is a website.

         13 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the operations further comprise determining, by the one or more computing devices, that a mobile device of the user is in proximity to a device that provides access to the secured resource; and
 wherein granting access to the particular secured resource is performed further in response to determining that the mobile device of the user is in proximity to the device that provides access to the particular secured resource.

         14 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the operations further comprise determining, by the one or more computing devices, that a mobile device of the user is (i) approaching a location where the secured resource can be accessed and (ii) within a predetermined level of proximity to the location; and
