Kneeling Support Device
Abstract
A kneeling support device is disclosed that attaches to a user's leg and extends from the knees down to the instep of the foot to help reduce the amount of pressure on the feet and toes of a user while kneeling. The device comprises a base component that is configured in a curved contour that wraps around the front of a user's leg and foot via hook and loop fasteners. The curved contour of the base component creates a recess on the inner surface of the base component, which contours to a user's leg. The outer surface of the base component comprises at least one padding layer to cushion a user's knees and shins while kneeling. The end of the base component near the foot comprises a cutout component that curves around a user's foot to provide comfort and support to the toes and feet while kneeling.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A kneeling support device that provides a user with comfort and support when kneeling for extended periods of time, the kneeling support device comprising:
a base component configured in a curved contour to a shape of a user's leg and knee; and a plurality of securing components; wherein the securing components is secured to the base component; wherein the securing components secures the base component to the user's leg and knee; and further wherein the base component extends from a user's knees down to an instep of a user's foot to reduce pressure on the user's foot and toes when kneeling for an extended period of time.
2 . The kneeling support device of claim 1 , wherein the end of the base component near the foot comprises a cutout component that curves around a user's foot to provide comfort and support to the toes and feet while kneeling.
3 . The kneeling support device of claim 2 , wherein in position, the cutout component rests on top of the foot and wraps tightly around each side of the foot to keep the kneeling support device in place.
4 . The kneeling support device of claim 3 , wherein the plurality of securing components are hook and loop fasteners.
5 . The kneeling support device of claim 4 wherein the base component comprises an inner surface and an outer surface.
6 . The kneeling support device of claim 5 , wherein the inner surface comprises a recess and is configured in a curved contour that wraps partially around a front of a user's leg and knee.
7 . The kneeling support device of claim 6 , wherein the outer surface comprises multiple padded layers.
8 . The kneeling support device of claim 7 , wherein the outer surface comprises a protective barrier layer shaped to fit an outer-facing region of the knee and shin.
9 . The kneeling support device of claim 8 , wherein the protective barrier layer is made of a hard plastic material.
10 . The kneeling support device of claim 9 , wherein the kneeling support device is sized and configured to be secured over a garment.
11 . The kneeling support device of claim 9 , wherein the kneeling support device is secured directly around a user's legs and knees.
12 . The kneeling support device of claim 1 further comprising a plurality of indicia.
13 . A kneeling support device that provides a user with comfort and support when kneeling for extended periods of time, the kneeling support device comprising:
a base component configured in a curved contour to a shape of a user's leg and knee; and a plurality of hook and loop fasteners; wherein the plurality of hook and loop fasteners are secured to the base component; wherein the plurality of hook and loop fasteners secure the base component to the user's leg and knee; wherein an end of the base component near a user's foot comprises a cutout component that curves around a user's foot to provide comfort and support to toes and feet while kneeling; wherein in position, the cutout component rests on top of the foot and wraps tightly around each side of the foot to keep the kneeling support device in place; wherein the base component comprises an inner surface and an outer surface; wherein the outer surface comprises multiple padded layers; and wherein the base component extends from a user's knees down to an instep of a user's foot to reduce pressure on the user's foot and toes when kneeling for an extended period of time.
14 . The kneeling support device of claim 13 , wherein the outer surface comprises a protective barrier layer shaped to fit an outer-facing region of the knee and shin.
15 . The kneeling support device of claim 14 , wherein the protective barrier layer is made of a hard plastic material.
16 . The kneeling support device of claim 13 , wherein the inner surface comprises a recess and is configured in a curved contour that wraps partially around a front of a user's leg and knee.
17 . The kneeling support device of claim 13 , wherein the kneeling support device is secured over a garment.
18 . The kneeling support device of claim 13 , wherein the kneeling support device is secured directly around a user's legs and knees.
19 . The kneeling support device of claim 13 further comprising a plurality of indicia.
20 . A method of supporting and cushioning a user's knees and shins, the method comprising the following steps:
providing a kneeling support device comprising a base component that is configured to wrap around the front of a user's leg and foot; engaging the cutout component around a user's foot; positioning the base component around a user's shin and knee; and securing the device to a user's leg via hook and loop fasteners.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
