Abstract

A first storage node communicates with at least one second storage node. A physical disk included in the at least one second storage node is mapped as a virtual disk of the first storage node. The method may include: receiving a first write request, where the first write request carries first to-be-written data; striping the first to-be-written data to obtain striped data, and writing the striped data to a physical disk and/or the virtual disk of the first storage node; and recording a write location of the striped data. For example, the technical solution may be applied to a storage system that includes an NVMe SSD.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the computer is another storage node, a server, or a network device.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first accessing request includes to-be-written data, and wherein the method further comprises performing an erasure coding (EC) operation or a redundant arrays of independent disks (RAID) operation to the to-be-written data.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein performing the EC operation or the RAID operation comprises:
striping the to-be-written data to obtain striped data, wherein the striped data comprises first striped data; and writing the first striped data to the virtual NVMe SSD by writing the first striped data to the physical NVMe SSD.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein accessing the physical NVMe SSD comprises accessing the physical NVMe SSD by a remote direct memory access (RDMA) command.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the first accessing request comprises receiving the first accessing request from a Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) bus.

7 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising recording a fingerprint of the to-be-written.

8 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising recording a stored location of the first striped data.

         9 . A computer comprising:
a memory configured to store instructions; and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to execute the instructions to cause the computer to:
 virtualize a virtual non-volatile memory (NVM) Express (NVMe) solid-state drive (SSD) from a physical NVMe SSD of a storage node that is connected to the computer through an NVMe over Fabrics protocol, wherein the virtual NVMe SSD is in the computer as a local NVMe SSD;
receive a first accessing request; and
access, based on the first accessing request, the virtual NVMe SSD by accessing the physical NVMe SSD.

10 . The computer of claim 9 , wherein the computer is another storage node, a server, or a network device.

11 . The computer of claim 9 , wherein the first accessing request includes to-be-written data, and wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions to further cause the computer to perform an erasure coding (EC) operation or a redundant arrays of independent disks (RAID) operation to the to-be-written data.

12 . The computer of claim 11 , wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions to further cause the computer to:
strip the to-be-written data to obtain striped data, wherein the striped data comprises first striped data; and write the first striped data to the virtual NVMe SSD by writing the first striped data to the physical NVMe SSD.

13 . The computer of claim 9 , wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions to further cause the computer to access the physical NVMe SSD by a remote direct memory access (RDMA) command.

14 . The computer of claim 9 , wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions to further cause the computer to receive the first accessing request from a Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) bus.

15 . A computer program product, comprising computer executable instructions stored on a non-transitory computer-readable medium that, when executed by a processor, cause a computer to:
virtualize a virtual non-volatile memory (NVM) Express (NVMe) solid-state drive (SSD) from a physical NVMe SSD of a storage node that is connected to the computer through an NVMe over Fabrics protocol, wherein the virtual NVMe SSD is in the computer as a local NVMe SSD; receive a first accessing request; and access, based on the first accessing request, the virtual NVMe SSD by accessing the physical NVMe SSD.

16 . The computer program product of claim 15 , wherein the computer is another storage node, a server, or a network device.

17 . The computer program product of claim 15 , wherein the first accessing request includes to-be-written data, and wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the processor, case the computer to perform an erasure coding (EC) operation or a redundant arrays of independent disks (RAID) operation to the to-be-written data.

18 . The computer program product of claim 17 , wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the computer to:
