Safety lid for bottles
Abstract
A safety lid for bottles, comprising a pouring element that can be attached to the neck of a bottle, a closure cap attached to the pouring element through a rear hinge, a flexible protrusion, located in its part closest to the pouring element, which contacts the pouring element in the open position, and two lateral flanges. The lid comprises a first opening indicator element located in the space delimited between both flanges, consisting of a flange comprising a first sector attached to the pouring element, a second sector attached to the closure cap, and a breakable central sector that allows a break and separation of the flange when a first opening of the lid occurs and a subsequent torsion deformation of the first sector and the second sector of that flange.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A safety lid for bottles, which comprises:
a pouring element attachable to the neck of a bottle, a closure cap attached to the pouring element through a rear hinge, the closure cap being able to be placed in an open position and a closed position, a flexible protrusion, located in a part closest to the pouring element, which contacts the pouring element in the open position of the closure cap, and two lateral flanges located on the pouring element, which protrude from said pouring element and extend from the hinge towards an opposite front face, to delimit a free space between both flanges on the front face of the cap,
wherein the lid further comprises a first opening indicator element located in the space delimited between both flanges, which consists of a flange that when the lid is sealed is kept in an essentially horizontal position, the flange in turn comprising:
a first sector attached to the pouring element,
a second sector attached to the closure cap, and
a breakable central sector that allows a break and separation of the flange when a first opening of the lid occurs.
2 . The safety lid according to claim 1 , wherein the hinge comprises two parallel arms that extend between the pouring element and the closure cap and delimit a space between both in which the protrusion is located.
3 . The safety lid according to claim 1 , wherein the closure cap comprises:
a cantilevered cover for manual opening of the cap, reinforcement ribs below the cantilevered cover, and a rear cavity next to the protrusion, to prevent the closure cap from abutting the pouring element before reaching the open position.
4 . The safety lid according to claim 1 wherein the pouring element comprises a central mouthpiece for pouring the liquid contained in the bottle.
