Abstract

An apparatus for enhancing the performance of skimmer baskets in swimming pools and preventing corrosion in pool equipment is disclosed. The apparatus may be disposed beneath a skimmer basket and may function as a filter for solid waste, while simultaneously acting as a sacrificial component for corrosion prevention of essential pool equipment. Manufactured using a galvanic anode, the apparatus may effectively prevent debris from entering the skimmer pumping system. The dimensions of the apparatus may be customized based on various factors, such as the size and shape of the pool, the skimmer basket, and the pump system used. With adjustable or modular components, the apparatus allows users to adapt the device to their specific needs and is designed for easy installation, removal, and cleaning. What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An apparatus for enhancing the performance of skimmer baskets in swimming pools and preventing corrosion in pool equipment, comprising: a galvanic anode, which is disposed beneath a skimmer basket and functions as a filter for solid waste, and simultaneously as a sacrificial component for corrosion prevention of essential pool equipment. 
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the galvanic anode is manufactured from at least one or a combination of aluminium, zinc, iron, tin, or magnesium. 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the apparatus is configured to prevent debris from entering the skimmer pumping system. 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the apparatus is configured for installation in swimming pools, hot tubs, or water-containing structures that require filtration and corrosion protection. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a handle or attachment for easy removal and replacement.
