Abstract

Provided herein, are methods of treating cancer in dogs using personalized cancer vaccines comprising peptides having frameshift mutations caused by errors in transcription and splicing of an mRNA.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method of treating an individual in need of treatment for a cancer, the method comprising:
 a) identifying peptides that are immunoreactive with a biological sample from the individual in a first population of peptides;   b) preparing a vaccine composition comprising a second population of peptides comprising one or more peptides identified in step a) or a nucleic acid sequence encoding the second population of peptides; and   c) administering an effective amount of the vaccine composition to the individual, thereby treating the cancer.
