Sporting Socks

Abstract

A sock is designed to be worn alone or with a shoe. The sock is comprised of several portions of fabric. The sock has an anti-slip mechanism built in to prevent the user from falling when wearing the socks on hard surfaces.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A sock comprising:
 an upper section;   a middle section;   a foot section;   the upper section being of cotton material;   the middle section being made of stocking material;   the foot section being made of cotton material;   the upper section having a first end and a second end;   the middle section having a first end and a second end;   the foot section having a first end, top side and underside;   the second end of the upper section being adjacently connected to the first end of the middle section by a first sew line;   the second end of the middle section being adjacently attached to the first end of the foot section by a second sew line;   the middle section having a front side and a rear side;   the middle section having a cotton stripe on the rear side;   the cotton stripe extending from the first sew line to the second sew line of the middle section; and   the plurality of rubber grommets attached to the underside of the foot section.
