Abstract

An integrated housing assembly mountable on a roof of a vehicle, such as a semi-trailer truck. The integrated housing assembly includes a main enclosure that includes four sides, a top panel, and a bottom panel. One of the four sides is a front panel that is inclined towards the ground. The main enclosure includes one or more cavities. A front panel of the integrated housing assembly includes one or more openings to allow cameras or sensors to be placed within the one or more cavities and behind the one or more opening. The cameras or sensors cameras can be clamped at a downward angle within multiple lock apparatus. The angled front panel and the inclined cameras or sensors within the lock apparatus allow the cameras or sensors to obtain images or sensor data from one or more regions of interest at some distance from the front of the vehicle.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A sensor holder, comprising:
a top portion; and a bottom portion coupled to the top portion, wherein the top portion comprises
a first top end located away from the bottom portion,
a first bottom end opposite to the first top end and comprising first cutout regions, and
   wherein the bottom portion comprises:
 a second top end that comprises second cutout regions;
a second bottom end opposite to the second top end, wherein the second bottom end has a structure that allows the bottom portion to be coupled to a vehicle; and
wherein an alignment of the first cutout regions with the second cutout regions forms a plurality of through holes that extend from front surfaces of the top portion and the bottom portion to rear surfaces of the top portion and the bottom portion.

         2 . The sensor holder of claim 1 ,
wherein the top portion comprises a first set of holes, and wherein the second top end of the bottom portion comprises a second set of holes corresponding to the first set of holes.

3 . The sensor holder of claim 2 , wherein the first set of holes extend from the first top end to the first bottom end.

4 . The sensor holder of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of through holes have an inclined angle relative to the second bottom end.

5 . The sensor holder of claim 1 , wherein the top portion includes a first set of four side surfaces that includes a first front surface, a first rear surface opposite to the first front surface, and a first set of two side surfaces in between the first front surface and the first rear surface.

6 . The sensor holder of claim 1 , wherein the bottom portion includes a second set of four side surfaces that includes a second front surface, a second rear surface opposite to the second front surface, and a second set of two side surfaces in between the second front surface and the second rear surface.

7 . The sensor holder of claim 6 , wherein the second front surface and the second rear surface are inclined relative to the second bottom end of the bottom portion.

8 . The sensor holder of claim 7 , wherein a height of the second front surface determined along a first incline of the second front surface and from the second bottom end is less than that of the second rear surface along a second incline of the second rear surface.

         9 . The sensor holder of claim 6 ,
wherein the structure of the second bottom end of the bottom portion includes a plurality of flanges, and wherein each flange comprises a plurality of slots.

10 . The sensor holder of claim 9 , wherein each flange extends away from one side surface of the second set of two side surfaces.

11 . The sensor holder of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of slots include screws that allows the bottom portion to be coupled to the vehicle.

12 . The sensor holder of claim 1 , wherein the top portion and the bottom portion have solid structures.

13 . The sensor holder of claim 1 , wherein each through hole of the plurality of through holes is structured to allow a sensor to be partially located within a through hole.

14 . The sensor holder of claim 1 , wherein a first through hole of the plurality of through holes is separated from a second through hole of the plurality of through holes by another structure that extends from the first top end towards the first bottom end of the top portion.
