Abstract
This disclosure relates to ingredients which are coated onto a surface, to reduce the number of insects on the surface. The disclosed chemistry changes the properties of the film created after application of the liquid coating composition making the film harder and having anti-static properties.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of reducing the number of insects on a surface, comprising: applying a liquid coating composition to a surface having insects upon the surface, or to a surface at risk of having insects upon the surface, and allowing the surface to dry to form a solid coating composition, wherein the liquid coating composition comprises: about 0.1 to about 0.5 ounces of sodium bicarbonate per gallon of the liquid coating composition, about 0.5 to about 0.7 ounces of sodium carbonate per gallon of the liquid coating composition, and about 1 to about 4 ounces of trisodium phosphate per gallon of the liquid coating composition, wherein the weight ratio of the sodium bicarbonate, the sodium carbonate, and the trisodium phosphate is about 1:2:3.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the liquid coating composition comprises: about 0.3 ounces of sodium bicarbonate per gallon of the liquid coating composition, about 0.6 ounces of sodium carbonate per gallon of the liquid coating composition, and about 2 ounces of trisodium phosphate per gallon of the liquid coating composition.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the aqueous solution comprises hydrogen bond activated water.
4 . The method of claim 1 , liquid coating composition is applied to the surface in the form of a film having a thickness of about 1 μm to about 2,000 μm.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the liquid coating composition covers at least 90% of the surface.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
