Abstract
Disclosed examples include displaying a user interface to obtain a user-provided parameter value, the user-provided parameter value corresponding to a software defined data center; generating a task list based on an automation plan and the user-provided parameter value; and displaying status information, the status information indicative of a failure of a first task in the task list and indicative that a second task in the task list was skipped based on a dependency between the second task and the first task.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
2 . A system comprising:
memory; machine-readable instructions; and programmable circuitry, the machine-readable instructions to cause the programmable circuitry to:
cause display of a user interface to obtain a user-provided parameter value, the user-provided parameter value corresponding to a software defined data center;
generate a task list based on an automation plan and the user-provided parameter value; and
cause display of status information, the status information indicative of a failure of a first task in the task list and indicative that a second task in the task list was skipped based on a dependency between the second task and the first task.
3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to cause display of progress status information associated with the task list, the programmable circuitry to cause the display of the status information after a user selection of the progress status information.
4 . The system of claim 2 , wherein after the programmable circuitry generates the task list and before the programmable circuitry causes the display of the status information, the programmable circuitry is to:
determine the dependency between the second task and the first task; remove a third task from the task list based on a determination that a resource to be output by the third task is to be available without execution of the third task; and generate a task execution schedule based on the task list and the dependency between the first and second tasks.
5 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to cause display of user-configurable parameter settings in the user interface, the user-configurable parameter settings to configure deployment of the software defined data center, the user-configurable parameter settings corresponding to at least one of a data center infrastructure, a virtualized infrastructure, cloud operations, or cloud automation.
6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the user-provided parameter value corresponds to the at least one of the data center infrastructure, the virtualized infrastructure, the cloud operations, or the cloud automation.
7 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to cause display of a deployment model selection user interface control in the user interface, the deployment model selection user interface control to include a list of models selectable to deploy the software defined data center.
8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to obtain the user-provided parameter value via the deployment model selection user interface control, the user-provided parameter value indicative of user-selection of one of the models.
9 . A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium comprising instructions to cause programmable circuitry to at least:
cause display of a user interface to obtain a user-provided parameter value, the user-provided parameter value corresponding to a software defined data center; generate a task list based on an automation plan and the user-provided parameter value; and cause display of status information, the status information indicative of a failure of a first task in the task list and indicative that a second task in the task list was skipped based on a dependency between the second task and the first task.
10 . The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the instructions are to cause the programmable circuitry to cause display of progress status information associated with the task list, the programmable circuitry to cause the display of the status information after a user selection of the progress status information.
11 . The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein after the programmable circuitry generates the task list and before the programmable circuitry causes the display of the status information, the instructions are to cause the programmable circuitry to:
determine the dependency between the second task and the first task; remove a third task from the task list based on a determination that a resource to be output by the third task is to be available without execution of the third task; and generate a task execution schedule based on the task list and the dependency between the first and second tasks.
12 . The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the instructions are to cause the programmable circuitry to cause display of user-configurable parameter settings in the user interface, the user-configurable parameter settings to configure deployment of the software defined data center, the user-configurable parameter settings corresponding to at least one of a data center infrastructure, a virtualized infrastructure, cloud operations, or cloud automation.
13 . The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the user-provided parameter value corresponds to the at least one of the data center infrastructure, the virtualized infrastructure, the cloud operations, or the cloud automation.
14 . The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the instructions are to cause the programmable circuitry to cause display of a user interface control in the user interface, the user interface control to include a list of models selectable to deploy the software defined data center.
15 . The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the instructions are to cause the programmable circuitry to obtain the user-provided parameter value via the user interface control, the user-provided parameter value indicative of user-selection of one of the models.
16 . A method comprising:
displaying a user interface to obtain a user-provided parameter value, the user-provided parameter value corresponding to a software defined data center; generating a task list based on an automation plan and the user-provided parameter value; and displaying status information, the status information indicative of a failure of a first task in the task list and indicative that a second task in the task list was skipped based on a dependency between the second task and the first task.
17 . The method of claim 16 , further including displaying progress status information associated with the task list, the displaying of the status information being after a user selection of the progress status information.
18 . The method of claim 16 , further including, after the generating of the task list and before the displaying of the status information:
determining the dependency between the second task and the first task; removing a third task from the task list based on a determination that a resource to be output by the third task is to be available without execution of the third task; and generating a task execution schedule based on the task list and the dependency between the first and second tasks.
19 . The method of claim 16 , further including displaying of user-configurable parameter settings in the user interface, the user-configurable parameter settings to configure deployment of the software defined data center, the user-configurable parameter settings corresponding to at least one of a data center infrastructure, a virtualized infrastructure, cloud operations, or cloud automation.
20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the user-provided parameter value corresponds to the at least one of the data center infrastructure, the virtualized infrastructure, the cloud operations, or the cloud automation.
21 . The method of claim 16 , further including displaying of a user interface control in the user interface, the user interface control to include a list of models selectable to deploy the software defined data center.
