Abstract

In a system for integrating authentication of pay television streams for a sports gaming event using a graphical interface of a computing device application, the system including: a processor configured to: receive authentication information from a user; verify the authentication information with a media service provider; display a live video stream on the graphical interface in response to the verification of the authentication information; receive sports data about the sporting event via a network; access a database of historical statistics relating to the sporting event and to players playing in the sporting event; select at least one betting scenario from a betting scenario database based on the sports data and the historical statistics; display the at least one betting scenario on the graphical interface; and receive a response to the at least one betting scenario from the user.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A system for conducting a sports gaming event using a graphical interface of a computing device application, the system comprising:
 a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
 receive a request to display a live video stream of a sporting event from a user;
 select at least one betting scenario from a betting scenario database;
 determine a price of the at least one betting scenario, the price being based on a probability of the at least one betting scenario occurring, the probability of the at least one betting scenario occurring being calculated based on sports data being received by the process and a database of historical statistics accessible by the processor;
 display the at least one betting scenario and the price on the graphical interface;
 receive a user response to the at least one betting scenario, wherein when the user response is to place a wager on the at least one betting scenario, display the live video stream on the graphical interface of the computing device application.

         2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein when the user response is to decline to wager on the at least one betting scenario, the instructions cause the processor to not display the live video stream on the graphical interface.

         3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein if no user response is received, the instructions cause the processor to not display the live video stream on the graphical interface.

         4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the system is configured to display the live video stream from a media service provider.

         5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the system is configured to display the live video stream from the media service provider after receiving media service provider authentication information from the user.

         6 . The system of claim 4 , wherein when the user response is to place a wager on the at least one betting scenario, the system is configured to display the live video stream from the media service provider without receiving media service provider authentication information from the user.

         7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein when the user response is to place a wager on the at least one betting scenario, the system is configured to compensate a rightsholder of rights to the live video stream.

         8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the rightsholder is a media service provider of the live video stream.

         9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the system is configured to compensate the rightsholder on a fee structure based on at least one of the amount of time that the system displays the live video stream, an entry fee paid by the user, a size of a wager placed by the user, the number of wagers placed by the user, an amount deposited by the users, or the user's prior wagering history.

         10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the system is configured to compensate the rightsholder on a fee structure thereby allowing an unauthenticated user to view the live video stream after placing a wager.

         11 . A system for conducting a sports gaming event using a graphical interface of a computing device application, the system comprising:
 a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
 receive a request to display a live video stream of a sporting event from a user;
 select at least one betting scenario from a betting scenario database;
 determine a probability of the at least one betting scenario occurring, the probability of the at least one betting scenario occurring being calculated based on sports data being received by the process and a database of historical statistics accessible by the processor;
 determine a price of the at least one betting scenario based on the probability of the at least one betting scenario occurring;
 display the at least one betting scenario and the price on the graphical interface;
 receive a user response to the at least one betting scenario, wherein when the user response is to place a wager on the at least one betting scenario, the instructions cause the processor to display the live video stream on the graphical interface of the computing device application and compensate a rightsholder of rights to the live video stream.

         12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein when the user response is to decline to wager on the at least one betting scenario, the instructions cause the processor to not display the live video stream on the graphical interface.

         13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein if no user response is received, the instructions cause the processor to not display the live video stream on the graphical interface.

         14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the system is configured to display the live video stream from a media service provider.

         15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the system is configured to display the live video stream from the media service provider after receiving media service provider authentication information from the user.

         16 . The system of claim 14 , wherein when the user response is to place a wager on the at least one betting scenario, the system is configured to display the live video stream from the media service provider without receiving media service provider authentication information from the user.

         17 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the rightsholder is a media service provider of the live video stream.

         18 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the system is configured to compensate the rightsholder on a fee structure based on at least one of the amount of time that the system displays the live video stream, an entry fee paid by the user, a size of a wager placed by the user, the number of wagers placed by the user, an amount deposited by the users, or the user's prior wagering history.

         19 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the system is configured to compensate the rightsholder on a fee structure, thereby allowing an unauthenticated user to view the live video stream after placing a wager.

         20 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the price is a value between 1 and 99.
