Abstract

An air conditioner includes a setting receiver and an air-conditioning controller. The setting receiver receives from a user a setting of setting information including ceiling height information relating to a ceiling height for each section of predetermined sections in an air-conditioning target area and saves the received setting information in a setting information file. The air-conditioning controller controls air conditioning of the air-conditioning target area based on the ceiling height information of each section.

1 . An air conditioner comprising:
 processing circuitry to
 receive from a user a setting of ceiling height information relating to a ceiling height for each section of predetermined sections in an air-conditioning target area, and 
 control air conditioning of the air-conditioning target area based on the ceiling height information of each section. 
   
     
     
         2 . The air conditioner according to  claim 1 , wherein the processing circuitry acquires the ceiling height information by communication with a terminal device. 
     
     
         3 . The air conditioner according to  claim 1 , wherein the processing circuitry (i) determines, based on the ceiling height information of a section in which an indoor unit is installed, a control index for use in estimation of a room temperature in the air-conditioning target area and (ii) adjusts, based on the ceiling height information of each section, flow of blown air. 
     
     
         4 . The air conditioner according to  claim 1 , wherein the processing circuitry sends to the user a notification that the air conditioning of the air-conditioning target area is performed based on the ceiling height information of each section. 
     
     
         5 . An air conditioning control method comprising:
 receiving from a user a setting of ceiling height information relating to a ceiling height for each section of predetermined sections in an air-conditioning target area; and   controlling air conditioning of the air-conditioning target area based on the ceiling height information of each section.   
     
     
         6 . The air conditioner according to  claim 2 , wherein the processing circuitry (i) determines, based on the ceiling height information of a section in which an indoor unit is installed, a control index for use in estimation of a room temperature in the air-conditioning target area and (ii) adjusts, based on the ceiling height information of each section, flow of blown air. 
     
     
         7 . The air conditioner according to  claim 2 , wherein the processing circuitry sends to the user a notification that the air conditioning of the air-conditioning target area is performed based on the ceiling height information of each section. 
     
     
         8 . The air conditioner according to  claim 3 , wherein the processing circuitry sends to the user a notification that the air conditioning of the air-conditioning target area is performed based on the ceiling height information of each section.
