Abstract
A mask includes a body having an interior surface defining a cavity shaped to receive a user's nose. An exterior surface of the body is exposed to an ambient environment. The body includes an inlet in fluid communication with the cavity and a one-way exhaust valve in fluid communication between the cavity and the ambient environment. A therapeutic substance dispenser is in fluid communication with the cavity. In one embodiment, a nasal aromatic decongestant is disposed in the therapeutic dispenser. A mask includes an upper nasal cavity separate from a lower oral cavity, with an inlet in fluid communication with only the upper nasal cavity. A medicament delivery assembly, and methods for the use thereof, are also provided.

76 . A mask comprising:
a body comprising:
an interior surface defining a cavity;
a barrier separating the cavity into an upper nasal cavity shaped to receive a user's nose and a lower oral cavity adapted to be in communication with the user's mouth;
an exterior surface exposed to an ambient environment;
an inlet in fluid communication with the nasal cavity; and
an outlet in fluid communication between the oral cavity and the ambient environment.
77 . The mask of claim 76 further comprising a one-way exhaust valve disposed in the outlet in fluid communication between the cavity and the ambient environment.
78 . The mask of claim 76 wherein the outlet comprises a first outlet, and further comprising a second outlet in fluid communication between the nasal cavity and the ambient environment.
79 . The mask of claim 78 further comprising a one-way exhaust valve disposed in the second outlet in fluid communication between the nasal cavity and the ambient environment.
80 . The mask of claim 79 wherein the one-way exhaust valve comprises a first one-way exhaust valve, and further comprising a second one-way exhaust valve disposed in the first outlet.
81 . The mask of claim 76 wherein the barrier comprises an interface edge configured to engage an upper lip of the user.
82 . The mask of claim 76 wherein the body is free of any outlet in communication between the nasal cavity and the ambient environment.
83 . The mask of claim 75 further comprising a therapeutic substance dispenser in fluid communication with the nasal cavity.
84 . The mask of claim 83 wherein the therapeutic substance dispenser is spaced apart from the inlet.
85 . The mask of claim 83 wherein the therapeutic substance dispenser comprises a receptacle in fluid communication with the nasal cavity.
86 . The mask of claim 85 wherein the receptacle comprises an orifice communicating between the receptacle and the nasal cavity.
87 . The mask of claim 86 wherein the receptacle defines a receptacle cavity, wherein the orifice comprises a first orifice communicating between the receptacle cavity and the nasal cavity, and further comprising a second orifice communicating between the nasal cavity and the ambient environment.
88 . The mask of claim 83 further comprising a therapeutic component disposed in the therapeutic substance dispenser.
89 . The mask of claim 88 wherein the therapeutic component comprises a liquid.

92 . A medicament delivery assembly comprising the mask of claim 75 and a medicament delivery device coupled to the inlet.
