Abstract

A stent apparatus for use in surgical applications having a hollow tubular section with a proximal end and a distal end. Additionally, the stent apparatus can have at least one anchor point connected to the hollow tubular section. The hollow tubular section may also have a modifiable member, and a magnetic connection node. The stent may also be wrapped in a material that has magnetic properties. The delivery of the stent can include a stent delivery tool for inserting a stent into a vessel.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

1 . An apparatus to wrap a stent, comprising:
a first material and a second material; and wherein the second material has magnetic properties.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the apparatus further comprises a sensor coupled to the second material.

3 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the apparatus further comprises a third material.

4 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the third material has properties that prevents a magnetic field from reaching the second material.

5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the stent has a hollow tubular section with a proximal end for engaging with a first vessel and a distal end for engaging with a second vessel allowing the first vessel and the second vessel to be fluidly coupled together through end-to-end anastomoses.

6 . The apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the first material and the second material extend from generally the proximal end to generally the distal end.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the stent comprises a hollow tubular section having at least one modifiable member, and at least one magnetic connection node.

8 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the at least one magnetic connection node engages with the second material has magnetic properties.

9 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the stent further comprises at least one anchor point that extends through one or both of the first material and the second material.

10 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the stent further comprises at least one anchor point is compressed by one or both of the first material and the second material.

         11 . A system for surgery comprising:
a stent for use in end-to-end anastomosis operations having a hollow tubular section with a proximal end for engaging with a first vessel, a distal end of the hollow tubular section for engaging with a second vessel, and at least one anchor point extending from the hollow tubular section; wherein the hollow tubular section is formed of at least one modifiable member, and at least one magnetic connection node; a wrap comprised of a first material and a second material where the second material includes at least one magnetic property; wherein the at least one magnetic node and the second material of the wrap engage with one another to cause modification of the stent.

12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one anchor point extends through the wrap.

13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one anchor point is compressed by the wrap.

14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the stent is modified between the proximal end and the distal end.

15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the stent is modified between a central point of the stent and the proximal end.

16 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the stent is modified between a central point of the stent and the distal end.

17 . The system of claim 17 , wherein the stent further comprises at least one structural member and the modifiable member are coupled through a connection node.

18 . The system of claim 17 , wherein the stent further comprises at least one structural member is coupled to the modifiable member through the magnetic connection node.

19 . The system of claim 11 , where the at least one anchor point is atraumatic.

         20 . A system for surgery comprising:
a stent used for end-to-end anastomosis comprising a set of connection nodes, a set of magnetic connection nodes, a set of structural members, and a set of magnetic structural members; wherein the set of connection nodes are connected by the set of structural members or the set of magnetic structural members; wherein the set of magnetic connection nodes are connected by the set of structural members or the set of magnetic structural members; a wrap comprising a first material and a second material, wherein the second material has magnetic properties; wherein the wrap provides compression to the stent prior to insertion into a first vessel and a second vessel; and wherein the stent further comprises a set of anchor points that allow for engagement with the first vessel and the second vessel.
