Abstract
An amorphous solid for use in aerosol generation, the amorphous solid including about 1 to about 12 wt % constituent, derivative or extract of Cannabis ; about 10 to about 80 wt % aerosol-former material; gelling agent; and optionally filler, wherein the amount of gelling agent and optional filler taken together is from about 10 to about 60 wt %; wherein the wt % values are calculated on a dry weight basis.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An amorphous solid for use in aerosol generation, the amorphous solid comprising:
about 1 to about 12 wt % constituent, derivative or extract of Cannabis; about 10 to about 80 wt % aerosol-former material; gelling agent; and optionally filler, wherein the amount of gelling agent and optional filler taken together is from about 10 to about 60 wt %;
wherein the wt % values are calculated on a dry weight basis.
2 . The amorphous solid of claim 1 comprising about 2 to about 8 wt % constituent, derivative or extract of Cannabis.
3 . The amorphous solid of claim 1 comprising about 60 to about 80 wt % aerosol-former material.
4 . The amorphous solid of claim 1 comprising about 15 to about 40 wt % gelling agent.

The amorphous solid of claim 1 , wherein the gelling agent comprises or is one or more compounds selected from polysaccharide gelling agents, such as alginate, pectin, starch or a derivative thereof, cellulose or a derivative thereof, pullulan, carrageenan, agar and agarose; gelatin; gums, such as xanthan gum, guar gum and acacia gum; silica or silicone compounds, such as PDMS and sodium silicate; clays, such as kaolin; and polyvinyl alcohol.
6 . The amorphous solid of claim 5 , wherein the polysaccharide gelling agent is selected from alginate and a cellulose derivative.

The amorphous solid of claim 5 , wherein the cellulose derivative is selected from hydroxymethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), methyl cellulose, ethyl cellulose, cellulose acetate (CA), cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB), and cellulose acetate propionate (CAP).
8 . The amorphous solid of claim 1 , wherein the gelling agent is not crosslinked.
9 . The amorphous solid of claim 1 , wherein the gelling agent is CMC.

The amorphous solid of claim 1 , wherein the aerosol-former material comprises (or is) one or more of glycerol, propylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, erythritol, meso-Erythritol, ethyl vanillate, ethyl laurate, a diethyl suberate, triethyl citrate, triacetin, a diacetin mixture, benzyl benzoate, benzyl phenyl acetate, tributyrin, lauryl acetate, lauric acid, myristic acid, and propylene carbonate.
11 . The amorphous solid of claim 1 wherein the aerosol-former material comprises or is glycerol or a combination of glycerol and propylene glycol.
12 . The amorphous solid of claim 1 , wherein the constituent, derivative or extract of Cannabis is a cannabinoid.

The amorphous solid of claim 12 , wherein the cannabinoid is selected from cannabigerol (CBG), cannabichromene (CBC), cannabidiol (CBD), tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabinol (CBN), cannabinodiol (CBDL), cannabicyclol (CBL), cannabivarin (CBV), tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV), cannabidivarin (CBDV), cannabichromevarin (CBCV), cannabigerovarin (CBGV), cannabigerol monomethyl ether (CBGM), cannabinerolic acid, cannabidiolic acid (CBDA), cannabinol propyl variant (CBNV), cannabitriol (CBO), tetrahydrocannabmolic acid (THCA), and tetrahydrocannabivarinic acid (THCV A).
14 . The amorphous solid of claim 13 , wherein the cannabinoid is cannabidiol.
15 . An aerosol-generating material comprising the amorphous solid of claim 1 .
16 . The aerosol-generating material of claim 15 , comprising from about 50-100 wt % (WWB) of the amorphous solid.
17 . A consumable for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision device, the consumable comprising the aerosol-generating material of claim 15 .
18 . A non-combustible aerosol provision system comprising the consumable of claim 17 and a non-combustible aerosol provision device.
19 . A composition for oral delivery of a constituent, derivative or extract of Cannabis , the composition comprising an amorphous solid, the amorphous solid comprising:
about 1 to about 12 wt % constituent, derivative or extract of Cannabis; about 10 to about 80 wt % humectant; gelling agent; and optionally filler, wherein the amount of gelling agent and optional filler taken together is from about 10 to about 60 wt %; wherein the wt % values are calculated on a dry weight basis.
20 . The composition for oral delivery of claim 19 , wherein the constituent, derivative or extract of Cannabis is a cannabinoid.
21 . The composition for oral delivery of claim 20 , wherein the cannabinoid is selected from cannabigerol (CBG), cannabichromene (CBC), cannabidiol (CBD), tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabinol (CBN), cannabinodiol (CBDL), cannabicyclol (CBL), cannabivarin (CBV), tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV), cannabidivarin (CBDV), cannabichromevarin (CBCV), cannabigerovarin (CBGV), cannabigerol monomethyl ether (CBGM), cannabinerolic acid, cannabidiolic acid (CBDA), cannabinol propyl variant (CBNV), cannabitriol (CBO), tetrahydrocannabmolic acid (THCA), and tetrahydrocannabivarinic acid (THCV A).
22 . The composition for oral delivery of claim 20 , wherein the cannabinoid is cannabidiol.
23 . A method of forming the amorphous solid of claim 1 , the method comprising:
(a) providing a slurry comprising the constituent, derivative or extract of Cannabis , the gelling agent, the aerosol-former material or the humectant, a solvent and any optional further components of the amorphous solid; (b) forming a layer of the slurry; (c) setting the layer of the slurry; and (d) drying the slurry to form the amorphous solid.
24 . A slurry comprising:
about 1 to about 12 wt % constituent, derivative or extract of Cannabis; about 10 to about 80 wt % aerosol-former material or humectant; gelling agent; and optionally filler, wherein the amount of gelling agent and optional filler taken together is from about 10 to about 60 wt %; wherein the wt % values are calculated on a dry weight basis; and a solvent.
