Abstract

A method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication network and a UE are provided. The method includes receiving, from the network, a channel status information (CSI)-reference signal (RS); determining, by the UE, whether to cancel the CSI-RS; and cancelling, by the UE, the CSI-RS if it is determined that the CSI-RS is to be cancelled.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication network, the method comprising:
receiving, from the network, a channel status information (CSI)-reference signal (RS); determining, by the UE, whether to cancel the CSI-RS; and cancelling, by the UE, the CSI-RS if it is determined that the CSI-RS is to be cancelled.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the portion of the CSI-RS is determined to be cancelled when a part of the CSI-RS is not within a channel occupancy time (COT).

3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising monitoring, by the UE, downlink control information (DCI),
wherein the COT is indicated in the DCI.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising configuring a timer for a predetermined duration,
wherein reception of a portion of a downlink (DL) transmission configured by a higher layer is determined to be cancelled when a part of the DL transmission is not within the predetermined duration.

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the timer comprises a timer introduced for switching groups of search space sets.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a downlink (DL) transmission is determined to be configured by a higher layer if the DL transmission is fully overlapped with a set of DL transmissions.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the CSI-RS is determined to be cancelled when the CSI-RS is not between a detected downlink control information (DCI) and a scheduled physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH).

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein reception of a DL transmission configured by a higher layer is cancelled when any part of the DL transmission is not within a transmission duration.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the UE comprises a frame based equipment (FBE).

10 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising monitoring, by the UE, for a slot format indicator (SFI),
wherein the CSI-RS is determined to be cancelled when no SFI is detected.

         11 . A user equipment (UE), comprising:
a transceiver; a memory; and a processor configured to:
 receive, from the network, a channel status information (CSI)-reference signal (RS);
determine whether to cancel the CSI-RS; and
cancel the CSI-RS if it is determined that the CSI-RS is to be cancelled.

12 . The UE of claim 11 , wherein the portion of the CSI-RS is determined to be cancelled when a part of the CSI-RS is not within a channel occupancy time (COT).

13 . The UE of claim 12 , wherein the processor is further configured to monitor downlink control information (DCI), and
wherein the COT is indicated in the DCI.

14 . The UE of claim 11 , wherein the processor is further configured to set a timer for a predetermined duration, and
wherein reception of a portion of a downlink (DL) transmission configured by a higher layer is determined to be cancelled when a part of the DL transmission is not within the predetermined duration.

15 . The UE of claim 14 , wherein the timer comprises a timer introduced for switching groups of search space sets.

16 . The UE of claim 11 , wherein a DL transmission is determined to be configured by a higher layer if the DL transmission is fully overlapped with a set of DL transmissions.

17 . The UE of claim 11 , wherein the CSI-RS is determined to be cancelled when the CSI-RS is not between a detected downlink control information (DCI) and a scheduled physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH).

18 . The UE of claim 11 , wherein reception of a DL transmission configured by a higher layer is cancelled when any part of the DL transmission is not within a transmission duration.

19 . The UE of claim 18 , wherein the UE comprises a frame based equipment (FBE).

20 . The UE of claim 11 , wherein the processor is further configured to monitor for a slot format indicator (SFI), and
wherein the CSI-RS is determined to be cancelled when no SFI is detected.
