Abstract

The present disclosure relates to system and techniques for enabling provisioning of cloud services for a client in an isolated yet scalable manner. In some embodiments, various computing resources are implemented within a cell (a self-sufficient unit). A number of cells are generated for a service or a group of services and distributed across a number of computing devices. Various cells may be generated that each pertain to a different aspect, or particular functionality, of the service. In some embodiments, cells providing various functionality for the service are implemented and distributed across different computing devices.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method, comprising:
 receiving, by a service application, a request to implement a service;   routing, by the service application, the request to a control plane process;   retrieving, by the service application, profile data associated with the service;   executing, by the service application, a worker thread for implementing the service, the worker thread configured to generate a cell;   receiving, by the service application, a request to access the service, the request being received from a client device, and the client device being assigned to the cell; and   routing, by the service application, the client device to the cell.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the request is received from a client attempting to utilize the service, the client corresponding to the client device. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the client is assigned to a namespace within the cell. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the client is assigned to an instance of the cell based on historical usage patterns associated with the client. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the request is authenticated prior to routing the request to the control plane process. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the request is received automatically upon a determination that a current implementation of the service is inadequate. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the worker thread is assigned to create a shard of computing resources to implement the requested service. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 7 , wherein the cell is generated by the shard. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the cell further comprises a transaction processor configured to perform transactions for a number of resources associated with the service. 
     
     
         10 . A computing system, comprising:
 one or more memories configured to store computer-executable instructions; and   one or more processors configured to access the one or more memories and execute the computer-executable instruction to at least:
 receive, by a service application, a request to implement a service; 
 route, by the service application, the request to a control plane process; 
 retrieve, by the service application, profile data associated with the service; 
 execute, by the service application, a worker thread for implementing the service, the worker thread configured to generate a cell; 
 receive, by the service application, a request to access the service, the request being received from a client device, and the client device being assigned to the cell; and 
 route, by the service application, the client device to the cell. 
   
     
     
         11 . The computing device of  claim 10 , wherein the request is received from a client attempting to utilize the service, the client corresponding to the client device. 
     
     
         12 . The computing device of  claim 11 , wherein the client is assigned to a namespace within the cell. 
     
     
         13 . The computing device of  claim 11 , wherein the client is assigned to an instance of the cell based on historical usage patterns associated with the client. 
     
     
         14 . The computing device of  claim 10 , wherein the worker thread is assigned to create a shard of computing resources to implement the requested service. 
     
     
         15 . The computing device of  claim 14 , wherein the cell is generated by the shard. 
     
     
         16 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
 receiving, by a service application, a request to implement a service;   routing, by the service application, the request to a control plane process;   retrieving, by the service application, profile data associated with the service;   executing, by the service application, a worker thread for implementing the service, the worker thread configured to generate a cell;   receiving, by the service application, a request to access the service, the request being received from a client device, and the client device being assigned to the cell; and   routing, by the service application, the client device to the cell.   
     
     
         17 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 16 , wherein the request is received from a client attempting to utilize the service, the client corresponding to the client device, and wherein the client is assigned to a namespace within the cell. 
     
     
         18 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 16 , wherein the request is received from a client attempting to utilize the service, the client corresponding to the client device, and wherein the client is assigned to an instance of the cell based on historical usage patterns associated with the client. 
     
     
         19 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 16 , wherein the worker thread is assigned to create a shard of computing resources to implement the requested service. 
     
     
         20 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 16 , wherein the cell is generated by the shard.
