Abstract

The disclosed embodiments include computer-implemented devices, systems, and methods that support image processing services. In an embodiment, a server may match a partial image received from a terminal with stored candidate image in the memory, and upon identification of a match, transmit information identifying the matched candidate image to the terminal.

         2 . The image processing system according to claim 1 , wherein the server is configured to transmit the second image to a display apparatus for display, the display apparatus being different from the terminal.

         3 . The image processing system according to claim 1 , wherein the server is further configured to store the second image in the database.

         4 . The image processing system according to claim 1 , wherein generating, by extracting a partial region from the first image, a second image including the license plate comprises generating the second image including the license plate in response to a width of the license plate being greater than a predefined pixel number.

         5 . The image processing system according to claim 1 ,
 wherein the at least one processor of the terminal is configured to control the second image to be extracted from the first image and to be encoded, and wherein transmitting the second image to the server via the communication network comprises transmitting the encoded second image.

         6 . A terminal comprising:
 at least one memory storing instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to cause the terminal to:
 at least one processor configured to cause the terminal to:
 capture a first image including a vehicle by the camera;
 detect a license number in the first image;
 generate, by extracting a partial region from the first image, a second image including the license plate; and
 transmit the first image and the second image to the server via a communication network; wherein:

 the second image is received from the terminal via the communication network;
 matching process, based on an information acquired from the second image and a registered data stored in a database, is performed.

         7 . The terminal according to claim 6 , wherein the second image is transmitted to a display apparatus for display, the display apparatus being different from the terminal.

         8 . The terminal according to claim 6 , wherein the second image is stored in the database.

         9 . The terminal according to claim 6 , wherein generating, by extracting a partial region from the first image, a second image including the license plate comprises generating the second image including the license plate in response to a width of the license plate being greater than a predefined pixel number.

         10 . The terminal according to claim 6 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to control the second image to be extracted from the first image and to be encoded, and
 wherein transmitting the second image to the server via the communication network comprises transmitting the encoded second image.

         11 . An image processing method comprising:
 capture a first image including a vehicle by the camera; detect a license number in the first image; generate, by extracting a partial region from the first image, a second image including the license plate; transmit the first image and the second image to the server via a communication network; receive the second image from the terminal via the communication network; and perform matching process based on an information acquired from the second image and a registered data stored in a database.

         12 . The image processing method according to claim 11 , wherein the second image is transmitted to a display apparatus for display, the display apparatus being different from the terminal.

         13 . The image processing method according to claim 11 , wherein the second image is stored in the database.

         14 . The image processing method according to claim 11 , wherein generating, by extracting a partial region from the first image, a second image including the license plate comprises generating the second image including the license plate in response to a width of the license plate being greater than a predefined pixel number.

         15 . The image processing method according to claim 11 , further comprising controlling the second image to be extracted from the first image and to be encoded, and wherein transmitting the second image to the server via the communication network comprises transmitting the encoded second image.

         16 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions which, when executed, cause a terminal to perform operations, the operations comprising:
 capture a first image including a vehicle by the camera;   detect a license number in the first image;   generate, by extracting a partial region from the first image, a second image including the license plate;   transmit the first image and the second image to the server via a communication network;
