Adjustable Multi-Tier Floor Vent Systems, Components, and Related Methods

Abstract

Adjustable multi-tier floor vent system is provided. The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system includes grilles, guards, and components, which may be integrated or modular with the device, and which are configured to be modified to improve operation of the device. The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system device is configured for improved performance by allowing the height of the grille of the floor vent system to be adjusted by adding spacers and shims to a bracket. Adding spacers and shims to the bracket of the adjustable multi-tier floor vent system allows the grill to be raised to accommodate different thicknesses in flooring.

The following is claimed: 
     
         1 . An adjustable multi-tier floor vent system comprising:
 a grill;   a vent bracket; and   at least one of:
 a plurality of spacers; 
 at least one shim; 
   wherein the plurality of spacers are configured to be integrated modularly against a surface.   
     
     
         2 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 1  wherein the system is configured to seamlessly integrate with an HVAC system. 
     
     
         3 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 1  wherein the surface is at least one of a subfloor or a wall. 
     
     
         4 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 1  further comprising additional grills, one or more guards, and components. 
     
     
         5 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 1  further configured to allow the height of the grill of the adjustable multi-tier floor vent system to be adjusted by adding spacers and shims to the vent bracket. 
     
     
         6 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 5  wherein the vent bracket does not require screws or attachment mechanisms for floating installations. 
     
     
         7 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 5  wherein the adjusted height of the grill of the adjustable multi-tier floor vent system matches a height of an installed flooring. 
     
     
         8 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 5  wherein the adjusted height of the grill of the adjustable multi-tier floor vent system may be further adjusted by adding one or more spacers, one or more shims to the vent bracket of the adjustable multi-tier floor vent system. 
     
     
         9 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 5  wherein the adjusted height of the grill of the adjustable multi-tier floor vent system is configured to be raised and lowered to accommodate various thicknesses in a flooring. 
     
     
         10 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 5  wherein the adjusted height of the grill of the adjustable multi-tier floor vent system is configured to connect to an HVAC system via at least one duct opening. 
     
     
         11 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 10 , wherein the system is configured to improve operation of the HVAC system. 
     
     
         12 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 11 , wherein the system is configured to improve operation of the HVAC system by improving the tightness of fittings at the at least one duct opening. 
     
     
         13 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 1  wherein the system is configured for one or more assemblies including but not limited to a new install assembly and a remodel assembly. 
     
     
         14 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 13  wherein the new install assembly is configured for new builds, new construction, and new ducts in a home, dwelling, and commercial spaces. 
     
     
         15 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 13  wherein the remodel assembly is configured for renovations, improvements, and modifications for homes, dwellings and commercial spaces. 
     
     
         16 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 1 , wherein elements comprising the system are modular elements. 
     
     
         17 . The adjustable multi-tier floor vent system of  claim 16 , where the modular elements are configured to be integrated in one or more assemblies wherein the components are at least one of sectional, sectioned, segmental, segmentary, segmented, componential, componentized, modularizable, modularized and segmenting parts that fit together seamlessly. 
     
     
         18 . An adjustable floor vent device, the device comprising:
 a plurality of screws;   one or more grill;   one or more vent brackets;   one or more spacers;   one or more shims;   wherein the adjustable floor vent device is configured to be raised and lowered to an adjusted height to accommodate at least one thicknesses in a flooring; and   wherein the adjusted height of the adjustable floor vent device is configured to connect to an HVAC system via at least one duct opening.
