Laundry scent additive

Abstract

A laundry scent additive having polyethylene glycol and perfume. The laundry scent additive enables consumers to control the amount of scent imparted to their laundry.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A composition comprising a plurality of pastilles, wherein the pastilles comprise:
 a. polyethylene glycol; and   b. perfume;   c. wherein individual pastilles of the plurality of pastilles have at least one of
 i. a mass from about 0.95 mg to about 2 g; and 
 ii. a volume from about 0.003 cm 3  to about 0.15 cm 3 ; and 
   d. wherein individual pastilles of the plurality of pastilles are of different size, shape, and mass.   
     
     
         2 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the perfume comprises free perfume. 
     
     
         3 . The composition of  claim 2 , wherein the free perfume is included in an amount from about 1% to about 12%, by weight of the composition. 
     
     
         4 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises less than 3% by weight of a detergent surfactant. 
     
     
         5 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition compress less than 3% by weight of an enzyme. 
     
     
         6 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises less than 3% by weight of a bleaching agent. 
     
     
         7 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises less than 3% by weight of each of a detergent surfactant, an enzyme, and a bleaching agent. 
     
     
         8 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises less than 3% by weight of a fabric softener active. 
     
     
         9 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the individual pastilles have a shape comprising a flat surface. 
     
     
         10 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the individual pastilles have a shape comprising a flat surface and a curved surface. 
     
     
         11 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the individual pastilles have a shape comprising a flat surface comprising a diameter, and a height, and wherein the ratio of height to diameter is from about 0.01 to about 0.4. 
     
     
         12 . A composition comprising a plurality of pastilles, wherein the pastilles comprise:
 a. polyethylene glycol; and   b. a perfume system comprising both of:
 i. free perfume; and 
 ii. a perfume carrier material comprising additional perfume; 
   c. wherein individual pastilles of the plurality of pastilles have at least one of
 i. a mass from about 0.95 mg to about 2 g; and 
 ii. a volume from about 0.003 cm 3  to about 0.15 cm 3 ; 
   d. wherein individual pastilles of the plurality of pastilles are of different size, shape, and mass.   
     
     
         13 . The composition of  claim 12 , wherein the individual pastilles have a shape comprising a flat surface. 
     
     
         14 . The composition of  claim 12 , wherein the individual pastilles have a shape comprising a flat surface and a curved surface. 
     
     
         15 . The composition of  claim 12 , wherein the individual pastilles have a shape comprising a flat surface comprising a diameter, and a height, and wherein the ratio of height to diameter is from about 0.01 to about 0.4. 
     
     
         16 . A composition comprising a plurality of pastilles, wherein the pastilles comprise:
 a. perfume;   b. zeolite;   c. a colorant;   d. wherein individual pastilles of the plurality of particles has at least one of
 i. a mass from about 0.95 mg to about 2 g; and 
 ii. a volume from about 0.003 cm 3  to about 0.15 cm 3 ; 
   e. wherein individual pastilles of the plurality of pastilles are of different size, shape, and mass.   
     
     
         17 . The composition of  claim 16 , wherein the composition is disposed in a plastic bottle. 
     
     
         18 . The composition of  claim 17 , wherein the plastic bottle comprises PET plastic. 
     
     
         19 . The composition of  claim 17 , wherein the plastic bottle comprises a portion through which a consumer can view the plurality of pastilles. 
     
     
         20 . The composition of  claim 17 , wherein the plastic bottle comprises a dispensing cap. 
     
     
         21 . The composition of  claim 16 , wherein the individual pastilles further comprises polyethylene glycol. 
     
     
         22 . The composition of  claim 16 , wherein the individual pastilles has a shape comprising a flat surface. 
     
     
         23 . The composition of  claim 16 , wherein the individual pastilles have a shape comprising a flat surface and a curved surface. 
     
     
         24 . The composition of  claim 16 , wherein the individual pastilles have a shape comprising a flat surface comprising a diameter, and a height, and wherein the ratio of height to diameter is from about 0.01 to about 0.4. 
     
     
         25 . The composition of  claim 16 , wherein the colorant comprises a blue colorant. 
     
     
         26 . The composition according to  claim 16 , wherein said zeolite has a structural formula based on a crystal unit cell having a smallest unit of structure of Mm/n[AlO 2 )m(SiO 2 )y]H 2 O, where n is the valence of cation M, x is the number of water molecules per unit cell, m and y are the total number of tetrahedra per unit cell, and y/m is 1 to 5.
