Abstract

Methods for executing a game via a game cloud system are provided. One method includes providing, on a website, a plurality of mini-games stored via the game cloud system. Each of the plurality of mini-games is created based on a portion of the game. Each of the plurality of mini-games is created when the game was played and state data is captured and associated to the respective mini-game. Each of the plurality of mini-games is defined from a respective portion of the game, and the portion identified by at least part of the state data related to play of the game and game actions taken. The state data is used to enable executable play the mini-game, and each of the plurality of mini-games is sharable via the website.

Claims

What is claimed is:

         1 . (canceled)

         2 . A method for generating a mini-game, comprising,
providing access to a game cloud system having one or more processors; providing an interface via the game cloud system that includes information regarding a plurality of mini-games, each of the plurality of mini-games represents a portion of a game, wherein the portion of the game was generated responsive to input received when the game was played, the portion of the game is associated with state data; the state data is generated based on execution of the game and interactive actions taken when the game was played; wherein selection of a mini-game from the plurality of mini-games accesses the state data for the mini-game, the state data enables generation of the mini-game that will have interactive content that is substantially similar to interactive content played when the mini-game was generated from the portion of the game.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the input received when the game was played includes selecting a start and end of the portion of the game from a recording of when the game was played.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein selecting the start and the end of the portion includes use of an interface that enables identification of specific gaming content that is of interest for generation of the portion for the mini-game.

5 . The method of claim 2 , wherein each one of said mini-games is executable via game console or one of said processors of the game cloud system in a streaming format.

6 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the mini-game is generated by a first player and the mini-game is played by a second player.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the second player, playing the mini-game, is presented with interactive scenes that relate to the portion of the game selected for generating the mini-game.

8 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of mini-games is shareable to enable play by other players.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein play by others of the mini-game that was shared tracks plays of the mini-game and scores.

10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein each play of said mini-games saves a video recording of each of said plays.

11 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said plurality of mini-games is accessible via said interface, and said interface is accessed via an online session from the game cloud system or via a website hosted by the game cloud system.

12 . The method of claim 2 , wherein play of one or more of the plurality of mini-games is by one or more users having access to a website or an interface of the game cloud system over the Internet.

13 . The method of claim 2 , wherein sharing of a mini-game causes the mini-game to be made available on the interface of the game cloud system or an interface of a website.

14 . Computer readable media having program instructions for generating a mini-game, comprising,
program instructions for providing access to a game cloud system having one or more processors; program instructions for providing an interface via the game cloud system that includes information regarding a plurality of mini-games, each of the plurality of mini-games represents a portion of a game, wherein the portion of the game was generated responsive to input received when the game was played, the portion of the game is associated with state data; the state data is generated based on execution of the game and interactive actions taken when the game was played; wherein selection of a mini-game from the plurality of mini-games accesses the state data for the mini-game, the state data enables generation of the mini-game that will have interactive content that is substantially similar to interactive content played when the mini-game was generated from the portion of the game.

15 . The computer readable media of claim 14 , wherein the input received when the game was played includes selecting a start and end of the portion of the game from a recording of when the game was played.

16 . The computer readable media of claim 15 , wherein selecting the start and the end of the portion includes use of an interface that enables identification of specific gaming content that is of interest for generation of the portion for the mini-game.

17 . The computer readable media of claim 14 , wherein each one of said mini-games is executable via game console or one of said processors of the game cloud system in a streaming format.

18 . The computer readable media of claim 14 , wherein the mini-game is generated by a first player and the mini-game is played by a second player.

19 . The computer readable media of claim 18 , wherein the second player, playing the mini-game, is presented with interactive scenes that relate to the portion of the game selected for generating the mini-game.
