Trading Card Container Assembly

Abstract

A trading card container assembly includes a first panel to contain a graded trading card. A second panel is hingedly coupled to the first panel. Each of the first panel and the second panel is positionable in a closed position to enclose the graded trading card. Each of the first panel and the second panel is positionable in an open position to expose the graded trading card. A clasp is movably integrated into the second panel and the clasp is biased into an engaging position. An engagement is coupled to the first panel and the clasp releasably engages the engagement when the first panel and the second panel are in the closed position for retaining the first panel and the second panel in the closed position. The clasp disengages the engagement when the clasp is urged into a releasing position.

1 . A trading card container assembly for facilitating graded trading cards to be securely shipped, said assembly comprising:
 a first panel having a first recess integrated into said first panel wherein said first recess is configured to contain a graded trading card, said first panel having a first window integrated into said first panel wherein said first window is configured to facilitate the graded trading card to be visible through said first window;   a second panel being hingedly coupled to said first panel, each of said first panel and said second panel being positionable in a closed position having said first panel resting on said second panel such that said first panel and said second panel defines a case wherein said case is configured to enclose the graded trading card, each of said first panel and said second panel being positionable in an open position having each of said first panel and said second panel lying on a horizontal plane wherein said first panel and said second panel are configured to expose the graded trading card, said second panel has a second recess integrated into said second panel wherein said second recess is configured to accommodate the graded trading card when said first panel and said second panel are in said closed position, said second panel having a second window integrated into said second panel wherein said second window is configured to facilitate the graded trading card to be visible through said second window, said second panel has an upper surface, a lower surface and an exterior edge extending between said upper surface and said lower surface, said exterior edge having a upper side, a lower side, a first sidelong side and a second sidelong side, said exterior edge being rounded at each of four corners of said exterior edge;   a clasp being movably integrated into said second panel, said clasp being biased into an engaging position, said clasp being urgeable into a releasing position;   an engagement being coupled to said first panel, said clasp releasably engaging said engagement when said first panel and said second panel are in said closed position for retaining said first panel and said second panel in said closed position, said clasp disengaging said engagement when said clasp is urged into said releasing position;   wherein said first sidelong side of said exterior edge has a well extending inwardly on said first sidelong side;   wherein said clasp comprises a first section being perpendicularly oriented with a second section, said second section having a distal end with respect to said first section, said second section having a tab extending laterally away from said second section, said first section extending into said well in said first sidelong side of said exterior edge of said second panel such that said second section is spaced from and extends downwardly parallel to said first sidelong side; and   wherein said assembly includes a biasing member being positioned in said well, said biasing member engaging said first section of said clasp, said biasing member biasing said first section outwardly from said well.   
     
     
         2 . The assembly according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 said first panel has a top surface, a bottom surface and a perimeter edge extending between said top surface and said bottom surface, said perimeter edge having a top side, a bottom side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side, said perimeter edge being rounded at each of four corners of said perimeter edge;   said first recess extends into said top surface, said first recess having a lower bounding surface, said first window extending through said lower bounding surface and said bottom surface of said first panel, said first recess having a bounding edge, said bounding edge having a plurality of intersecting sides each being spaced from a respective one of said top side and said bottom side and said first lateral side and said second lateral side of said perimeter edge such that said first recess has a rectangular shape;   said first window is positioned adjacent to said intersecting side being spaced from said top side, said first window being elongated to extend along a substantial length of said intersecting side being spaced from said top side;   said top surface has a plurality of first divots each extending toward said bottom surface, said first divots being positioned between said bounding edge of said first recess and said top side, said first divots being spaced apart from each other and being distributed along said top side; and   said top surface has a plurality of second divots each extending toward said bottom surface, said second divots being positioned between said bounding edge of said first recess and said bottom side, said second divots being spaced apart from each other and being distributed along said bottom side.   
     
     
         3 . The assembly according to  claim 2 , wherein said first panel has a pair of protrusions each extending away from said first lateral side of said perimeter edge, each of said protrusions being spaced from a respective one of said top side and said bottom side of said perimeter edge, each of said protrusions having a first end and a second end, each of said protrusions being elongated between said first end and said second end, each of said first end and said second end of each of said protrusions being rounded. 
     
     
         4 . The assembly according to  claim 2 , wherein:
 said second recess extends into said upper surface, said second recess having a lower bounding surface, said second window extending through said lower bounding surface of said second recess and said lower surface of said second panel, said second recess having a bounding edge, said bounding edge of said second recess having a plurality of intersecting sides each being spaced from a respective one of said upper side and said lower side and said first sidelong side and said second sidelong side of said exterior edge such that said second recess has a rectangular shape;   said second window is positioned adjacent to said intersecting side being spaced from said upper side, said second window being elongated to extend along a substantial length of said intersecting side being spaced from said upper side;   said upper surface has a plurality of first knobs each extending away from said upper surface, said first knobs being positioned between said bounding edge of said second recess and said upper side, said first knobs being spaced apart from each other and being distributed along said upper side;   said upper surface has a plurality of second knobs each extending toward said lower surface, said second knobs being positioned between said bounding edge of said second recess and said lower side, said second knobs being spaced apart from each other and being distributed along said lower side;   each of said first knobs extends into a respective one of said first divots when said first panel and said second panel are positioned in said closed position; and   each of said second knobs extends into a respective one of said second divots when said first panel and said second panel are positioned in said closed position.

The assembly according to  claim 4 , wherein said second panel has a pair of slots each extending away from said first sidelong side of said exterior edge, each of said slots being spaced from a respective one of said upper side and said lower side of said exterior edge, each of said slots having a primary end and a secondary end, each of said slots being elongated between said primary end and said secondary end, each of said primary end and said secondary end of each of said slots being concavely arcuate. 
     
     
         6 . The assembly according to  claim 5 , wherein:
 said assembly includes a pair of protrusions each extending away from said first panel, each of said protrusions having a first end and a second end, each of said protrusions being elongated between said first end and said second end, each of said first end and said second end of each of said protrusions being rounded; and   each of said protrusions engages a respective one of said slots such that said first panel is hingedly retained on said second panel, each of said first end and said second end of each of said protrusions conforming to curvature of a respective one of said primary end and said secondary end of a respective one of said slots.

         8 . The assembly according to  claim 4 , wherein:
 said engagement is positioned on said first lateral side of said perimeter edge of said first panel;   said engagement has an opening extending through said engagement; and   said second section of said clasp extends through said opening when said first panel and said second panel are positioned in said closed position, said tab on said second portion of said clasp engaging said engagement to inhibit said first panel said second panel from being positioned in said open position, said tab being displaced from said engagement when said clasp is urged into said releasing position to facilitate said first panel and said second panel to be positioned in said open position.   
     
     
         9 . A trading card container assembly for facilitating graded trading cards to be securely shipped, said assembly comprising:
 a first panel having a first recess integrated into said first panel wherein said first recess is configured to contain a graded trading card, said first panel having a first window integrated into said first panel wherein said first window is configured to facilitate the graded trading card to be visible through said first window, said first panel having a top surface, a bottom surface and a perimeter edge extending between said top surface and said bottom surface, said perimeter edge having a top side, a bottom side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side, said perimeter edge being rounded at each of four corners of said perimeter edge, said first recess extending into said top surface, said first recess having a lower bounding surface, said first window extending through said lower bounding surface and said bottom surface of said first panel, said first recess having a bounding edge, said bounding edge having a plurality of intersecting sides each being spaced from a respective one of said top side and said bottom side and said first lateral side and said second lateral side of said perimeter edge such that said first recess has a rectangular shape, said first window being positioned adjacent to said intersecting side being spaced from said top side, said first window being elongated to extend along a substantial length of said intersecting side being spaced from said top side, said top surface having a plurality of first divots each extending toward said bottom surface, said first divots being positioned between said bounding edge of said first recess and said top side, said first divots being spaced apart from each other and being distributed along said top side, said top surface having a plurality of second divots each extending toward said bottom surface, said second divots being positioned between said bounding edge of said first recess and said bottom side, said second divots being spaced apart from each other and being distributed along said bottom side, said first panel having a pair of protrusions each extending away from said first lateral side of said perimeter edge, each of said protrusions being spaced from a respective one of said top side and said bottom side of said perimeter edge, each of said protrusions having a first end and a second end, each of said protrusions being elongated between said first end and said second end, each of said first end and said second end of each of said protrusions being rounded;   a second panel being hingedly coupled to said first panel, each of said first panel and said second panel being positionable in a closed position having said first panel resting on said second panel such that said first panel and said second panel defines a case wherein said case is configured to enclose the graded trading card, each of said first panel and said second panel being positionable in an open position having each of said first panel and said second panel lying on a horizontal plane wherein said first panel and said second panel are configured to expose the graded trading card, said second panel having a second recess integrated into said second panel wherein said second recess is configured to accommodate the graded trading card when said first panel and said second panel are in said closed position, said second panel having a second window integrated into said second panel wherein said second window is configured to facilitate the graded trading card to be visible through said second window, said second panel having a upper surface, a lower surface and a exterior edge extending between said upper surface and said lower surface, said exterior edge having a upper side, a lower side, a first sidelong side and a second sidelong side, said exterior edge being rounded at each of four corners of said exterior edge, said second recess extending into said upper surface, said second recess having a lower bounding surface, said second window extending through said lower bounding surface of said second recess and said lower surface of said second panel, said second recess having a bounding edge, said bounding edge of said second recess having a plurality of intersecting sides each being spaced from a respective one of said upper side and said lower side and said first sidelong side and said second sidelong side of said exterior edge such that said second recess has a rectangular shape, said second window being positioned adjacent to said intersecting side being spaced from said upper side, said second window being elongated to extend along a substantial length of said intersecting side being spaced from said upper side, said upper surface having a plurality of first knobs each extending away from said upper surface, said first knobs being positioned between said bounding edge of said second recess and said upper side, said first knobs being spaced apart from each other and being distributed along said upper side, said upper surface having a plurality of second knobs each extending toward said lower surface, said second knobs being positioned between said bounding edge of said second recess and said lower side, said second knobs being spaced apart from each other and being distributed along said lower side, each of said first knobs extending into a respective one of said first divots when said first panel and said second panel are positioned in said closed position, each of said second knobs extending into a respective one of said second divots when said first panel and said second panel are positioned in said closed position, said second panel having a pair of slots each extending away from said first sidelong side of said exterior edge, each of said slots being spaced from a respective one of said upper side and said lower side of said exterior edge, each of said slots having a primary end and a secondary end, each of said slots being elongated between said primary end and said secondary end, each of said primary end and said secondary end of each of said slots being concavely arcuate, each of said protrusions engaging a respective one of said slots such that said first panel is hingedly retained on said second panel, each of said first end and said second end of each of said protrusions conforming to curvature of a respective one of said primary end and said secondary end of a respective one of said slots, said first sidelong side of said exterior edge having a well extending inwardly on said first sidelong side;   a clasp being movably integrated into said second panel, said clasp being biased into an engaging position, said clasp being urgeable into a releasing position, said clasp comprising a first section being perpendicularly oriented with a second section, said second section having a distal end with respect to said first section, said second section having a tab extending laterally away from said second section, said first section extending into said well in said first sidelong side of said exterior edge of said second panel such that said second section is spaced from and extends downwardly parallel to said first sidelong side;   a biasing member being positioned in said well, said biasing member engaging said first section of said clasp, said biasing member biasing said first section outwardly from said well; and   an engagement being coupled to said first panel, said clasp releasably engaging said engagement when said first panel and said second panel are in said closed position for retaining said first panel and said second panel in said closed position, said clasp disengaging said engagement when said clasp is urged into said releasing position, said engagement being positioned on said first lateral side of said perimeter edge of said first panel, said engagement having an opening extending through said engagement, said second section of said clasp extending through said opening when said first panel and said second panel are positioned in said closed position, said tab on said second portion of said clasp engaging said engagement to inhibit said first panel said second panel from being positioned in said open position, said tab being displaced from said engagement when said clasp is urged into said releasing position to facilitate said first panel and said second panel to be positioned in said open position.
