Abstract
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to identify co-relationships between media using social media. An example apparatus includes an audience estimator to: estimate a first audience of first media based on a first set of media-exposure social media messages corresponding to client devices referencing the first media, and estimate a second audience of second media based on a second set of media-exposure social media messages corresponding to the client devices referencing the second media.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
2 . An apparatus comprising:
at least one memory; computer readable instructions; and processor circuitry to execute the computer readable instructions to: obtain media-exposure social media messages based on media keywords and media posting timestamps; identify a media-pairing including first media and second media; estimate a first audience of the first media based on a first set of media-exposure social media messages that reference the first media; estimate a second audience of the second media based on a second set of media-exposure social media messages that reference the second media; determine a pairing-score for the media-pairing based on the first and second audiences and the first and second sets of media-exposure social media messages; determine a relationship threshold to apply to the media-pairing, the relationship threshold based on the first media and the second media; and classify the media-pairing based on the pairing-score and the relationship threshold.
3 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to generate a report indicative of a level of effectiveness of broadcasting third media during presentation of the first media and during presentation of the second media based on the media-pairing classification.
4 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to:
associate each of the media-exposure social media messages included in the first set with an author username; and estimate the first audience by recording a first occurrence of each identified author username.
5 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to:
identify an impression associated with each of the media-exposure social media messages included in the first set; identify a user identifier associated with the impression; and estimate the first audience by recording a first occurrence of each of the identified impression user identifiers.
6 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to:
identify a first subset of usernames associated with posting the first set of media-exposure social media messages to a social media server; and estimate the first audience by identifying a second subset of usernames associated with impressions of the media-exposure social media messages included in the first set, each of the usernames included in the second subset of usernames not present in the first subset of usernames.
7 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the processor circuitry is to:
identify a subset of audience members included in the first audience and the second audience; and determine the pairing-score for the media-pairing by determining a size of the subset of audience members and a first count of media-exposure social media messages included in the first set.
8 . An apparatus comprising:
at least one memory; computer readable instructions; and processor circuitry to execute the computer readable instructions to: estimate a first audience of first media based on a first set of media-exposure social media messages corresponding to client devices referencing the first media; estimate a second audience of second media based on a second set of media-exposure social media messages corresponding to the client devices referencing the second media; determine a pairing-score for a media-pairing based on the first and second audiences and the first and second sets of media-exposure social media messages; determine a relationship threshold to apply to the media-pairing based on the first media and the second media; and classify the media-pairing based on the pairing-score and the relationship threshold to improve an accuracy of a system associated with generating audience analysis information.
9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor circuitry is to:
obtain the media-exposure social media messages corresponding to the client devices by querying a social media server based on media keywords and media posting timestamps; and identify the media-pairing including the first media and the second media.
10 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor circuitry is to:
associate each of the media-exposure social media messages included in the first set with an author username; and estimating the first audience by recording a first occurrence of each of the identified author usernames.
11 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor circuitry is to:
identify an impression associated with each of the media-exposure social media messages included in the first set; identify a user identifier associated with the impression; and estimate the first audience by recording a first occurrence of each of the identified impression user identifiers.
12 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor circuitry is to:
identify a first subset of usernames associated with posting the first set of media-exposure social media messages to the social media server; and estimate the first audience by identifying a second subset of usernames associated with impressions of the media-exposure social media messages included in the first set, each of the usernames included in the second subset of usernames not present in the first subset of usernames.
13 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor circuitry is to:
identify a subset of audience members included in the first audience and the second audience; and determine the pairing-score for the media-pairing by determining a size of the subset of audience members and a first count of media-exposure social media messages included in the first set.
14 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor circuitry is to:
apply the relationship threshold to the pairing-score; and classify the first media related to the second media when the pairing-score satisfies the relationship threshold.
15 . An apparatus comprising:
an audience estimator to:
parse a media messages database to identify media of interest corresponding to client devices;
parse the media messages database to identify media-exposure social media messages that reference the media of interest, each of the media-exposure social media messages associated with a username;
parse the media messages database to identify impression information associated with the media-exposure social media messages that reference the media of interest;
estimate a unique audience for the identified media by removing duplicate usernames; and
store the media of interest, a number of the media-exposure social media messages that reference the media of interest and the unique audience in memory to improve an accuracy of a system associated with generating audience analysis information.
16 . The apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the audience estimator is to estimate the unique audience based on authors that post the media-exposure social media messages associated with the media of interest.
17 . The apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the audience estimator is to estimate the unique audience based on users who were presented with the media-exposure social media messages associated with the media of interest.
18 . The apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the audience estimator is to estimate the unique audience based on authors that post the media-exposure social media messages associated with the media of interest and users who were presented with the media-exposure social media messages associated with the media of interest.
19 . The apparatus of claim 15 , further including a pairing classifier to compare the usernames of the identified media-exposure social media messages associated with the media of interest to remove the duplicate usernames.
20 . The apparatus of claim 15 , further including a message logger to identify media posting timestamps corresponding to respective ones of the media-exposure media messages of the media of interest.
21 . The apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the message logger is to:
compare timestamps of the respective ones of the media-exposure media messages with media time ranges associated with respective ones of the media of interest; and exclude from the unique audience estimation, media-exposure social media messages that reference the media of interest having timestamps that are outside the media time ranges associated with corresponding ones of the media of interest.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
