Visual reconstruction of traffic incident based on sensor device data
Abstract
A system, a method, and a computer program product for providing a recreation of an event are disclosed. A plurality of data is received from a plurality of sources of information. The plurality of data describes an event. Each data in the plurality of data has a different format. Each data in the plurality of data is converted into a predetermined format. The converted received plurality of data is combined. Based on the combined converted received data, a report describing a recreation of the event is generated. The generated report is transmitted for display on at least one user interface.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method comprising:
receiving data describing an event from a plurality of sources; determining additional data is needed to generate a rendering of the event, the additional data providing a viewpoint from a mobile device of the event; generating an instruction for presentation at the mobile device, the instruction directing a user to upload the additional data captured by the mobile device; receiving the additional data from the mobile device; and generating the rendering of the event.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of sources include one or more of a sensor, the mobile device, and a third party source.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the sensor includes one or more of a speed sensor, a fuel sensor, a torque sensor, a camera, a brake sensor, a weather sensor, and a tire pressure sensor.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data describing the event includes one or more of video data, audio data, text data, location data, and photographic data.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the additional data includes one or more of video data and audio data collected by the mobile device.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the mobile device is located in a vehicle involved in the event.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the event is a vehicular accident.
8 . A system comprising:
at least one processor; and a machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
receiving data describing an event from at least one source;
determining additional data is needed to generate a visual representation of the event, the additional data providing a viewpoint from a mobile device of the event;
generating an instruction to cause the mobile device to direct a user to upload the additional data captured by the mobile device;
receiving the additional data from the mobile device; and
generating the visual representation of the event.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the at least one source includes one or more of a sensor, the mobile device, and a third party source.
10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the sensor includes one or more of a speed sensor, a fuel sensor, a torque sensor, a camera, a brake sensor, a weather sensor, and a tire pressure sensor.
11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the data describing the event includes one or more of video data, audio data, text data, location data, and photographic data.
12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the additional data includes one or more of video data and audio data collected by the mobile device.
13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the mobile device is located in a vehicle involved in the event.
14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the event is a traffic incident.
15 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
receiving event data from at least one source; determining additional data is needed to generate a report of an event, the additional data providing a viewpoint from a mobile device of the event; generating an instruction to cause the mobile device to direct a user to upload the additional data captured by the mobile device; receiving the additional data from the mobile device; and generating the report of the event.
16 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the at least one source includes one or more of a sensor, the mobile device, and a third party source.
17 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 16 , wherein the sensor includes one or more of a speed sensor, a fuel sensor, a torque sensor, a camera, a brake sensor, a weather sensor, and a tire pressure sensor.
18 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the event data includes one or more of video data, audio data, text data, location data, and photographic data.
19 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the report includes a visual representation of the event.
20 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the additional data includes one or more of video data and audio data collected by the mobile device.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
