Insurance Lead Marketplace

Abstract

An insurance lead marketplace may include an insurance lead marketplace computing device that includes a non-transitory memory device and/or a processor. The non-transitory memory device may be configured for storing one or more rules for qualifying and/or categorizing insurance leads based on at least one insurance characteristic. The processor may be configured to provide insurance leads that were received from an insurance lead source to a requesting agent, to determine a quality associated with and/or categorize each insurance lead based on one or more characteristics of the received insurance leads, to present the insurance leads to an insurance agent based on one or more selected lead characteristics and/or lead tiers, and/or to determine information associated with an actual quality of each insurance lead based upon feedback received from the agent and revise rules for qualifying and/or categorizing the insurance leads using the actual quality of the insurance leads.

1 . A system comprising:
 a non-transitory memory device for storing one or more rules to categorize insurance leads based on at least one insurance characteristic; and   a processor,   wherein the non-transitory memory device stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, causes the computing device to:   execute a lead service using file-based integration of a security layer, the security layer comprising dedicated hardware at a same physical location as the computing device;   receive, using a first communication security protocol of the security layer while omitting use of a second communication security protocol of the security layer, a request to access the lead service from one or more lead sources, the request including one or more lead characteristics selected by the one or more lead sources, and the request being received from a requesting agent computing device;   receive data for a plurality of leads from the one or more lead sources using the second communication security protocol of the security layer;   determine a first quality associated with a first lead of the plurality of leads, wherein the first quality of the first lead is at least based on a software integration capability of one or more lead source computing devices providing the first lead with respect to one or more customer relationship management platforms;   classify the plurality of leads into tiers based at least in part on the first quality associated with the first lead;   categorize the plurality of leads within the tiers using the one or more rules and the one or more lead characteristics;   provide an interface to the requesting agent computing device, the interface configured to receive a selection of one or more lead characteristics from the requesting agent computing device;   determine whether at least one lead of the plurality of leads matches with the selection of the one or more lead characteristics; and   in response to determining that the at least one lead matches the selection of the one or more lead characteristics:   provide, through the security layer and using the first communication security protocol, data for the first lead;   determine information associated with a second quality of at least one of the plurality of leads based at least in part upon feedback received at the requesting agent computing device; and   revise at least one of the one or more rules for categorizing the leads using the second quality of the plurality of leads, the one or more rules configured to be applied in categorizing a plurality of additional leads; or   in response to determining that the at least one lead fails to match the selection of one or more lead characteristics, generate and provide a suggestion for improving the selection of one or more lead characteristics based on known characteristics matching the plurality of leads.
