Abstract

Methods, systems, and storage media are described for processing point of sale (POS) transactions. In embodiments, a computing device may receive a transaction initiation, and provide a selection of a payment credential to be used to process a POS transaction. The computing device includes a trusted execution environment to process the POS transaction in response to the selection of the payment credential. The trusted execution environment may comprise a payment credential storage unit to store payment credentials and a virtual POS terminal that may validate a merchant terminal associated with the transaction initiation, process the POS transaction using the selected payment credential to generate payment data, and encrypt the payment data. The computing device may communicate the encrypted payment data to a cloud POS service for further processing. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 25 . (canceled)

         26 . An electronic device comprising:
 a touchscreen; wireless communication circuitry; and processor circuitry to:
 cause a first prompt to be displayed via a user interface of the touchscreen;
 detect a first selection associated with the first prompt via the user interface of the touchscreen;
 cause a second prompt to be displayed via the user interface of the touchscreen, the second prompt including a fingerprint input request;
 match a fingerprint input associated with the first selection, the match to permit usage of first data associated with the first selection;
 cause the wireless communication circuitry to transmit a request to an entity associated with an initiation request;
 cause removal of a message corresponding to the request after an acceptance message from the entity; and
 cause the wireless communication circuitry to bypass user entry of the first data by transmitting the first data to the entity.

         27 . The electronic device as defined in claim 26 , wherein the electronic device is a mobile telephone.

         28 . The electronic device as defined in claim 26 , further including trusted execution environment (TEE) circuitry to store the first data associated with the first selection.

         29 . The electronic device as defined in claim 28 , wherein the TEE circuitry is to encrypt the first data prior to transmission of the first data to the entity.

         30 . The electronic device as defined in claim 26 , further including an application programming interface (API) to request transmission of the first data from secure storage.

         31 . The electronic device as defined in claim 26 , further including a biometric sensor to acquire the fingerprint input.

         32 . The electronic device as defined in claim 26 , wherein the first selection corresponds to one of a plurality of payment accounts.

         33 . At least one storage device comprising machine readable instructions to cause one or more programmable devices to at least:
 cause a first prompt to be displayed via a user interface of a touchscreen; detect a first selection associated with the first prompt via the user interface of the touchscreen; cause a second prompt to be displayed via the user interface of the touchscreen, the second prompt including a fingerprint input request; match a fingerprint input associated with the first selection, the match to permit usage of first data associated with the first selection; cause wireless communication circuitry to transmit a request to an entity associated with an initiation request; cause removal of a message corresponding to the request after an acceptance message from the entity; and cause the wireless communication circuitry to bypass user entry of the first data by transmitting the first data to the entity.

         34 . The at least one storage device as defined in claim 33 , wherein the instructions cause the programmable circuitry to store the first data associated with the first selection in trusted execution environment (TEE) circuitry.

         35 . The at least one storage device as defined in claim 34 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to cause the TEE circuitry to encrypt the first data prior to transmission of the first data to the entity.

         36 . The at least one storage device as defined in claim 33 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to invoke an application programming interface (API) to request transmission of the first data from secure storage.

         37 . The at least one storage device as defined in claim 33 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to acquire fingerprint information corresponding to the fingerprint input request from a biometric sensor.

         38 . The at least one storage device as defined in claim 33 , wherein the user interface is associated with a mobile telephone.

         39 . A method comprising:
 causing display of a first prompt via a user interface of a touchscreen; detecting a first selection associated with the first prompt via the user interface of the touchscreen; causing display of a second prompt via the user interface of the touchscreen, the second prompt including a fingerprint input request; matching a fingerprint input associated with the first selection, the match to permit usage of first data associated with the first selection; causing transmission of a request to an entity associated with an initiation request; causing removal of a message displayed on the user interface of the touchscreen, the message corresponding to the request, and the message removed after an receiving an acceptance message from the entity; and causing transmission of the first data to the entity without user entry of the first data on the user interface of the touchscreen.

         40 . The method as defined in claim 39 , further including storing the first data associated with the first selection in trusted execution environment (TEE) circuitry.

         41 . The method as defined in claim 40 , further including causing encryption, with the TEE circuitry, the first data prior to transmission of the first data to the entity.

         42 . The method as defined in claim 39 , further including invoking an application programming interface (API) to request transmission of the first data from secure storage.

         43 . The method as defined in claim 39 , further including acquiring fingerprint information corresponding to the fingerprint input request from a biometric sensor.

         44 . The method as defined in claim 39 , wherein the transmission of the request to the entity is wireless.
