Abstract
To provide an information output system and an information output method capable of providing appropriate information for the user's current situation. The operation device comprises a state detection section for detecting a posture of the operation device, and a state information transmission section for transmitting state information to a home-use computer based on the state detected by the state detection section. The home-use computer outputs information depending on the state information transmitted by the state information transmission section.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A portable operation device for controlling a user interface on a display, the portable operation device comprising:
a plurality of sensors including an acceleration sensor and a gyroscope; wherein the display includes a plurality of objects disposed in a virtual three-dimensional space viewed from a viewpoint position and a viewpoint direction; circuitry configured to receive sensor information from the plurality of sensors to detect movement of the portable operation device by a user; wherein the viewpoint is moved in the virtual-three dimensional space according to the detected movement, wherein the user operates a cursor on the display to select an object from the plurality of objects based on the viewpoint position and the viewpoint direction, wherein a leftward tilt movement of the portable operation device and a rightward tilt movement of the portable operation device cause a movement of the viewpoint position in the virtual three-dimensional space.
2 . The portable operation device according to claim 1 , wherein the viewpoint direction is rotated based on the output from the plurality of sensors.
3 . The portable operation device according to claim 1 , wherein the portable operation device is switched between a standby mode and a normal operation mode.
4 . The portable operation device according to claim 1 ,
wherein the display is connected to a computer via a wired connection, and wherein the portable operation device is connected to the computer via a wireless connection.
5 . The portable operation device according to claim 1 , wherein the leftward tilt movement causes a leftward rotation of the viewpoint direction.
6 . The portable operation device according to claim 5 , wherein the rightward tilt movement causes a rightward rotation of the viewpoint direction.
7 . The portable operation device according to claim 1 , wherein a posture of each of the plurality of objects is changed based on a movement of the viewpoint position or a movement of the viewpoint direction.
8 . The portable operation device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a biosensor to detect at least one of blood pressure, pulsation frequency, fingerprint, or heart rate of the user.
9 . The portable operation device according to claim 1 , wherein locations of the plurality of objects are determined based upon an attribute of each of the plurality of objects, content of each of the plurality of objects, or auxiliary information associated with each of the plurality of objects.
10 . The portable operation device according to claim 1 , wherein an upward movement of the portable operation device causes an upward movement of the viewpoint position and a downward movement of the portable operation device causes a downward movement of the viewpoint position.
11 . The portable operation device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a user detection circuit for detecting a presence of the user; wherein the user detection circuit switches the portable operation device to an active operation mode when the user is detected.
12 . A method for controlling a viewpoint position and a viewpoint direction on a display using a portable operation device, the method comprising:
displaying, on the display, a plurality of objects disposed in a virtual three-dimensional space viewed from the viewpoint; receiving sensor information from a plurality of sensors including an acceleration sensor and a gyroscope; detecting movement of the portable operation device by a user using the sensor information; moving the viewpoint position and the viewpoint direction in the virtual-three dimensional space according to the detected movement; and selecting an object from the plurality of objects by operating a cursor to select the object, wherein a leftward tilt movement of the portable operation device or a rightward tilt movement causes a movement of the viewpoint position in the virtual three-dimensional space.
13 . A non-transitory, computer readable storage medium having stored thereon a computer program, which when executed by a computer system causes the computer system to carry out actions, comprising:
displaying, on the display, a plurality of objects disposed in a virtual three-dimensional space viewed from the viewpoint; receiving sensor information from a plurality of sensors including an acceleration sensor and a gyroscope; detecting movement of the portable operation device by a user using the sensor information; moving the viewpoint position and the viewpoint direction in the virtual-three dimensional space according to the detected movement; and selecting an object from the plurality of objects by operating a cursor to select the object, wherein a leftward tilt movement of the portable operation device or a rightward tilt movement causes a movement of the viewpoint position in the virtual three-dimensional space.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
