Abstract

A beverage can assembly includes a beverage can that has number indicia printed on a top wall of the beverage can. The number indicia comprise numbers ranging between one and ten. A tab is movably disposed on the top wall of the beverage can and the tab can be manipulated for opening the drinking opening. Marker indicia are printed on the tab and the tab is pivotable on the top wall such that the marker indicia are directed toward a respective one of the numbers of the number indicia. In this way the beverage can may be assigned to a user thereby inhibiting other individuals from drinking from the beverage can. Thus, the marker indicia and the number indicia inhibit the transmission of infectious diseases with the beverage can.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A beverage can assembly having numerical indicia for assigning to a user, said assembly comprising:
a beverage can having number indicia being printed on a top wall of said beverage can, said number indicia comprising numbers ranging between one and ten; and a tab being movably disposed on said top wall of said beverage can wherein said tab is configured to be manipulated for opening said drinking opening, said tab having marker indicia being printed on said tab, said tab being pivotable on said top wall such that said marker indicia is directed toward a respective one of said numbers of said number indicia to assign said beverage can to a user thereby inhibiting other individuals from drinking from said beverage can wherein said marker indicia and said number indicia are configured to inhibit the transmission of infectious diseases with said beverage can.

2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said top wall of said beverage can has a lip extending upwardly from said top wall, said lip being coextensive with a perimeter of said top wall; said top wall has a drinking opening being integrated into said top wall, said drinking opening being positioned adjacent to said lip; and said number indicia are positioned adjacent to said lip.

3 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein said number indicia are spaced apart from each other and are distributed along said lip such that said number indicia define an arc.

4 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein said number indicia are positioned on an opposing side of said top wall with respect to said drinking opening.

5 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein said tab has a front end, a rear end and a top surface, said tab having a pivot point being located adjacent to said front end, said pivot point being pivotally coupled to said top wall of said beverage can having said front end being aligned with said drinking opening.

6 . The assembly according to claim 5 , wherein said maker indicia are positioned on said top surface of said tab, said marker indicia being positioned adjacent to said rear end.

7 . The assembly according to claim 6 , wherein said maker indicia comprise an arrow tapering to a point being directed toward said rear end, said arrow being pointed toward a respective one of said numbers of said number indicia when said tab is rotated.

8 . A beverage can assembly having numerical indicia for assigning to a user, said assembly comprising:
a beverage can having number indicia being printed on a top wall of said beverage can, said number indicia comprising numbers ranging between one and ten, said top wall of said beverage can having a lip extending upwardly from said top wall, said lip being coextensive with a perimeter of said top wall, said top wall having a drinking opening being integrated into said top wall, said drinking opening being positioned adjacent to said lip, said number indicia being positioned adjacent to said lip, said number indicia being spaced apart from each other and being distributed along said lip such that said number indicia define an arc, said number indicia being positioned on a opposing side of said top wall with respect to said drinking opening; and a tab being movably disposed on said top wall of said beverage can wherein said tab is configured to be manipulated for opening said drinking opening, said tab having marker indicia being printed on said tab, said tab being pivotable on said top wall such that said marker indicia is directed toward a respective one of said numbers of said number indicia to assign said beverage can to a user thereby inhibiting other individuals from drinking from said beverage can wherein said marker indicia and said number indicia are configured to inhibit the transmission of infectious diseases with said beverage can, said tab having a front end, a rear end and a top surface, said tab having a pivot point being located adjacent to said front end, said pivot point being pivotally coupled to said top wall of said beverage can having said front end being aligned with said drinking opening, said maker indicia being positioned on said top surface, said marker indicia being positioned adjacent to said rear end, said maker indicia comprising an arrow tapering to a point being directed toward said rear end, said arrow being pointed toward a respective one of said numbers of said number indicia when said tab is rotated.

9 . A method of assigning a beverage can to a user, the steps of the method comprising:
providing a beverage can with a top wall; printing number indicia on said top wall, said number indicia comprising numbers ranging between one and ten, said number indicia being arranged into an arc on said top wall; providing a tab being pivotally coupled to said top wall of said beverage can, said tab having a top surface and a rear end; printing marker indicia on said top surface of said tab, said marker indicia being positioned adjacent to said rear end, said marker indicia comprising an arrow tapering to a point being directed toward said rear end; and rotating said tab such that said arrow defined by said marker indicia is directed toward a respective one of said numbers defined by said number indicia wherein said arrow and said respective number are configured to assign said beverage can to a user.
