Abstract
In an example aspect, a method performed by wireless device for communication establishment is provided. The method comprises, in response to a request for establishment of a communication with the wireless device using a first network, receiving a redirection instruction to redirect to a second network, and in response to whether a node in the second network supports communication with a node in the first network, selecting a first procedure or a second procedure for establishing the communication using the second network.

21 . A method, performed by a wireless device for establishing dedicated resources for voice, the method comprising the wireless device:
receiving over a first radio access network using a first technology type an indicator from a first mobility network node in a first network comprising the first radio access network, the indicator indicating that the first mobility network supports an interworking interface with a second mobility network node in a second network comprising a second radio access network of a second technology type, receiving from the first network an instruction to redirect to the second network after initiating a multimedia voice establishment procedure over the first network that requires the first network to establish a Quality of Service (QoS) flow for voice; performing a tracking area update procedure with the second mobility network node when the indicator indicates the interworking interface is supported or performing an attach procedure with the second mobility network node when the indicator indicates the interworking interface is not supported, and establishing a dedicated bearer for voice with the second network.
22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the first network is a 5G system and the second network is an Evolved Packet System.
23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the first access network is a 5G radio access network and the second access network is an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access network.
24 . The method of claim 21 , further comprising completing the multimedia voice establishment procedure over the second network.
25 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the instruction to redirect comprises a Radio Resource Control (RRC) Connection Release message with a redirection information identifying the second network.
26 . The method of claim 21 , further comprising, in response to the instruction to redirect, switching to the second network.
27 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the attach procedure comprises sending an attach message comprising a handover indication.
28 . The method of claim 22 , wherein the interworking interface is an N26 interface.
29 . A non-transitory computer readable recording medium storing a computer program product for controlling a wireless device, the computer program product comprising program instructions which, when run on processing circuitry of the wireless device, causes the wireless device to:
receive over a first radio access network using a first technology type an indicator from a first mobility network node in a first network comprising the first radio access network, the indicator indicating that the first mobility network supports an interworking interface with a second mobility network node in a second network comprising a second radio access network of a second technology type, receive from the first network an instruction to redirect to the second network after initiating a multimedia voice establishment procedure over the first network that requires the first network to establish a Quality of Service (QoS) flow for voice; perform a tracking area update procedure with the second mobility network node when the indicator indicates the interworking interface is supported or perform an attach procedure with the second mobility network node when the indicator indicates the interworking interface is not supported, and establish a dedicated bearer for voice with the second network.
30 . An User Equipment (UE) comprising:
processing circuitry; memory containing instructions executable by the processing circuitry whereby the UE is operative to:
receive over a first radio access network using a first technology type an indicator from a first mobility network node in a first network comprising the first radio access network, the indicator indicating that the first mobility network supports an interworking interface with a second mobility network node in a second network comprising a second radio access network of a second technology type;
receive from the first network an instruction to redirect to the second network after initiating a multimedia voice establishment procedure over the first network that requires the first network to establish a Quality of Service (QoS) flow for voice;
perform a tracking area update procedure with the second mobility network node when the indicator indicates the interworking interface is supported or perform an attach procedure with the second mobility network node when the indicator indicates the interworking interface is not supported, and
establish a dedicated bearer for voice with the second network.
31 . The UE of claim 30 , wherein the first network is a 5G system and the second network is an Evolved Packet System.
32 . The UE of claim 30 , wherein the first access network is a 5G radio access network and the second access network is an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access network.
33 . The UE of claim 30 , wherein the UE is further operative to complete the multimedia voice establishment procedure over the second network.
34 . The UE of claim 30 , wherein the instruction to redirect comprises a Radio Resource Control (RRC) Connection Release message with a redirection information identifying the second network.
35 . The UE of claim 30 , wherein the UE is further operative to switch to the second network in response to the instruction to redirect.
36 . The UE of claim 30 , wherein the attach procedure comprises sending an attach message comprising a handover indication.
