U-Shaped Headrest

Abstract

The head rest pillow for chairs is the only product of its kind that is specifically developed to be added onto chairs to ensure users are able to relax, sleep, or relieve any neck tension while sitting on a chair. This unprecedented product is uniquely designed with a plush pillow and durable clamps and locking hinges to ensure long term sustainability and functionality.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A head rest for a chair, the head rest comprising:
 a head rest pillow;   a left clamp and a right clamp each comprising a short front jaw and a long back jaw and a frame thereof;   a telescoping bar extending from each respective frame of the left clamp and the right clamp; and   a locking hinge configured to connect each respective telescoping bar to the head rest pillow.   
     
     
         2 . The head rest of  claim 1 , further comprising a support member connected between each respective locking hinge and the head rest pillow. 
     
     
         3 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein the head rest pillow is a ‘U’ shaped travel-like pillow. 
     
     
         4 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein the telescoping bar is adjustable in at least 3 positions as a knob from an inner bar is spring set into a hole defined in an outer bar thereof. 
     
     
         5 . The head rest of  claim 1 , further comprising a curved support member connected between each respective locking hinge and the head rest pillow wherein a curve thereof matches a curve of the chair. 
     
     
         6 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein each locking hinge comprise a ball in a compression relation to a socket. 
     
     
         7 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein a length of the long back jaw is a nominal three times longer than the short front jaw to give a mechanical advantage to a disposition of the left and the right clamps on a back of the chair. 
     
     
         8 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein the long back jaw comprises a strength webbing down a back thereof configured to strengthen a structural integrity thereof. 
     
     
         9 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein the telescoping bar allows an adjustable space between the chair and the head rest pillow. 
     
     
         10 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein the long back jaw is fixed and the short front bar is adjustable to fix each respective clamp to a back of the chair. 
     
     
         11 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein the long back jaw is adjustable and the short front bar is fixed to position each respective clamp to a back of the chair. 
     
     
         12 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein an angle between each respective telescoping bar and each respective frame is fixed to be less than 180 degrees. 
     
     
         13 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein an angel between each respective telescoping bar and each respective frame is adjustable to any angle less than 180 degrees. 
     
     
         14 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein the left and the right clamps comprise a banded pipe clamp. 
     
     
         15 . The head rest of  claim 1 , wherein the left and the right clamps comprise a worm driven hose clamp.
