Communication device interface for merchant check-in and shopping notifications

Abstract

There are provided systems and methods for a communication device interface for merchant check-in and shopping notifications. A user may enter shopping preferences to a module of a communication device in order to receive notifications and alerts when items matching the shopping preferences are available with one or more merchants. A service provider may receive the shopping preferences with user attributes, such as a user location and/or account balance. The attributes may be determined using applications and/or modules of the communication device or through a check-in by the user at a location. The service provider may determine shopping notifications having purchase offers for the items from available merchants. The purchase offers may include offers to sell the items and discounts for the items. The shopping notifications may be displayed to the user using a user device interface, such as cells within an application or mobile device home screen.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A system comprising:
 a non-transitory memory; and   one or more hardware processors coupled with the non-transitory memory and configured to read instructions from the non-transitory memory to cause the system to perform operations comprising:
 determining a location of a user device of a user; 
 identifying a user profile associated with the user for an account of the user, wherein the user profile includes a shopping preference of the user and interface display preferences of the user; 
 determining a plurality of items of interest to the user based on the shopping preferences from the user profile; 
 configuring, based on the interface display preferences, a layout of a user interface of an application on the user device that displays at least a portion of the plurality of items of interest in the user interface, wherein a placement of the portion for the layout is based on the location and the interface display preferences; 
 determining item data for an item from the plurality of items of interest based on the location; 
 generating interface display data for the item; and 
 presenting, in the user interface in association with the user device being at the location, the interface display data in the layout independent of changing additional item display data for other items of the plurality of items of interest in the layout. 
   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the item data is further based on at least one of a sale offer or a discount for the item, and wherein the interface display data comprises information indicating a change to a price of the item based on the at least one of the sale offer or the discount. 
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 2 , wherein the presenting the interface display data comprises automatically updating, while the user device is within a proximity to the location, the layout by changing item display data in the layout for the item to include the change to the price independent of changing the additional item display data for the other items. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein, prior to the generating the interface display data, the operations further comprise:
 determining a first portion of the item data to provide in the layout of the user interface based on the interface display preferences,   wherein the interface display data is generated to display the first portion independent of displaying a second portion of the item data.   
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 4 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 receiving a selection of the interface display data in the user interface; and   updating, in the user interface of the application, the interface display data in the layout of the user interface with the second portion independent of updating the additional item display data for the other items.   
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 4 , wherein the second portion does not correspond to the interface display preferences, and wherein the presenting the interface display data comprises providing a notification to the user device that includes the first portion and the second portion, wherein the providing causes the user device to hide the second portion based on the second portion not corresponding to the interface display preferences. 
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein, prior to the determining the item data, the operations further comprise:
 receiving, via the user interface of the user device, a selection of a user interface element corresponding to the item,   wherein the item data is determined in response to receiving the selection of the user interface element.   
     
     
         8 . A method, comprising:
 accessing, by a mobile device of a user, device data comprising a location detected for the mobile device and a user profile associated with an account utilized by a mobile application on the mobile device, wherein the user profile includes an item preference of the user and interface display preferences for a user interface of the mobile application;   determining a plurality of notifications associated with a plurality of items presented through the mobile application for purchase by the user;   displaying, based on the interface display preferences, the plurality of notifications in the user interface of the mobile application on the mobile device in an arrangement based on the location and the interface display preferences;   determining one of the plurality of items to update in the user interface based on the item preference and the location;   determining item data for the one of the plurality of items based on additional notification received in association with the location;   configuring one of the plurality of notifications in the arrangement to display at least a portion of the item data; and   updating, in the user interface based on the mobile device being at the location, the one of the plurality of notifications in the arrangement based on the configuring independent of updating other ones of the plurality of notifications.   
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein, prior to the determining the plurality of notifications, the method further comprises:
 transmitting the item preference to a plurality of merchants at different time intervals,   wherein the determining the plurality of notifications comprises receiving the plurality of notifications at the different time intervals in response to the transmitting.   
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the plurality of notifications displayed in the user interface each include at least one of a price of each of the plurality of items, one of the plurality of merchants where a corresponding one of the plurality of items is available, or a discount for the corresponding one of the plurality of items. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the item preference comprises a lowest available price preference, wherein at least two of the plurality of notifications are from different merchants for the item, and wherein the configuring the one of the plurality of notifications utilizes the at least the portion of the item data from one of the different merchants having a lowest price for the item. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the plurality of notifications are displayed in different portions of the user interface and comprise selectable interface elements, that when selected, cause the mobile application to display additional item information for the plurality of items. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein each of the plurality of notifications are separately updated based on new item data available for the plurality of items. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising:
 receiving, via the user interface, a selection of a user interface element corresponding to the one of the plurality of notifications for the one of the plurality of items; and   processing a payment for the one of the plurality of items in correspondence with the item data for the one of the plurality of notifications.   
     
     
         15 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium stored thereon machine-readable instructions executable to cause a machine to perform operations comprising:
 receiving, for an application on a device of a user, a plurality of notifications associated with a plurality of items based on a location detected for the device and a user profile associated with the user, wherein the user profile comprises an item preference of the user and interface display preferences for a user interface of the application;   configuring, based on the interface display preferences, an application interface window for the plurality of notifications in the user interface of the application based on the location and the interface display preferences;   displaying, based on the configured application interface window, the plurality of notifications in the user interface of the application;   determining additional item data for an item from the plurality of items while the device is within a distance to the location;   generating updated interface display data for a notification of the plurality of notifications for the item based on at least a portion of the additional item data; and   updating, in the user interface based on the device being within the distance to the location, the notification in the configured application interface window without updating other ones of the plurality of notifications.   
     
     
         16 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of  claim 15 , wherein the additional item data comprises a promotion of the item based on the location and at least one of a merchant, an offer for the item, or a price of the item associated with the item preference. 
     
     
         17 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of  claim 15 , wherein the updated interface display data is generated to promote a merchant in the notification having a highest discount amount for the item based on the item preference. 
     
     
         18 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of  claim 15 , wherein the application comprises a mobile shopping application that displays prices for the plurality of items in the plurality of notifications and enables electronic transaction processing for the plurality of items. 
     
     
         19 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of  claim 18 , wherein the user interface comprises separate interface elements for engaging in the electronic transaction processing for the plurality of items via corresponding ones of the plurality of notifications. 
     
     
         20 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of  claim 15 , wherein the user profile further comprises a user attribute associated with the user, and wherein the notifications are further received based on the user attribute.
