1 - 20 . (canceled)

         21 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:
receiving, by at least one data processor, a first identifier including first data associated with a first delivery of fluid to a patient by a medical device, the first data comprising a device identifier; receiving, by the at least one data processor, a second identifier including second data associated with a second delivery of fluid to the patient by the medical device, the second data comprising the device identifier, a patient identifier, or a medication identifier; comparing, by the at least one data processor, the first data and the second data; and associating, by the at least one data processor and based on the comparing, the first data of the identifier and the second data of the second identifier; and causing, by the at least one data processor, the medical device to deliver fluid to the patient.

22 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the device identifier comprises an infusion module identifier or a patient care unit identifier.

23 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the patient identifier comprises a patient name.

24 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the medication identifier comprises a drug name.

25 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the second identifier is received while the medical device is delivering fluid to the patient pursuant to the first delivery of fluid to the patient.

26 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the second data further comprises a volume of fluid to be infused.

         27 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , further comprising:
determining, by the at least one data processor, that the first data at least partially matches the second data; wherein associating the first data of the identifier and the second data of the second identifier is further in response to the determination that the first data at least partially matches the second data.

28 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium containing instructions which, when executed by at least one data processor, result in operations comprising:
receiving a first identifier including first data associated with a first delivery of fluid to a patient by a medical device, the first data comprising a device identifier; receiving a second identifier including second data associated with a second delivery of fluid to the patient by the medical device, the second data comprising the device identifier, a patient identifier, or a medication identifier; comparing the first data and the second data; and associating, based on the comparing, the first data of the identifier and the second data of the second identifier; and causing the medical device to deliver fluid to the patient.

29 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 28 , wherein the device identifier comprises an infusion module identifier or a patient care unit identifier.

30 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 28 , wherein the patient identifier comprises a patient name.

31 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 28 , wherein the medication identifier comprises a drug name.

32 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 28 , wherein the second identifier is received while the medical device is delivering fluid to the patient pursuant to the first delivery of fluid to the patient.

33 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 28 , wherein the second data further comprises a volume of fluid to be infused.

         34 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 28 , the operations further comprising:
determining, by the at least one data processor, that the first data at least partially matches the second data; wherein associating the first data of the identifier and the second data of the second identifier is further in response to the determination that the first data at least partially matches the second data.

         35 . A system comprising:
at least one processor; and a memory, wherein the at least one processor and the memory are configured to perform operations comprising: receiving a first identifier including first data associated with a first delivery of fluid to a patient by a medical device, the first data comprising a device identifier; receiving a second identifier including second data associated with a second delivery of fluid to the patient by the medical device, the second data comprising the device identifier, a patient identifier, or a medication identifier; comparing the first data and the second data; and associating, based on the comparing, the first data of the identifier and the second data of the second identifier; and causing the medical device to deliver fluid to the patient.

36 . The system of claim 35 , wherein the device identifier comprises an infusion module identifier or a patient care unit identifier.

37 . The system of claim 35 , wherein the patient identifier comprises a patient name.

38 . The system of claim 35 , wherein the medication identifier comprises a drug name.

39 . The system of claim 35 , wherein the second identifier is received while the medical device is delivering fluid to the patient pursuant to the first delivery of fluid to the patient.

40 . The system of claim 35 , wherein the second data further comprises a volume of fluid to be infused.

41 . The system of claim 35 , the operations further comprising:
determining, by the at least one data processor, that the first data at least partially matches the second data; wherein associating the first data of the identifier and the second data of the second identifier is further in response to the determination that the first data at least partially matches the second data.
